What online worlds are in the making?

What online worlds are in the making?   I would really want to know since I have been a bit absent from the MMO scene and please if possible also list with a link to a web page.

And what is not an online world?   To give a recent example: Star Wars: The Old Republic is not an online world in my opinion.

Your thread has awesome written all over it.

There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

Not going to give a Raph Koster definition, maybe a "porn" definition however iykwim:-

    1. Star Citizen

    2. Pathfinder Online

These content builders seem interesting as an aside, there's a common platform for building types of worlds:-

    1. Shards Online.

    2. Everquest / Landmark (same thing?)

Yes I knew about Pathfinder Online and EverQuest Next but Landmark does it have player interaction or is it 100% about creating buildings and structures?

And hmm it is a short list.

    Very few.

But i don't really care, since i prefer games than worlds.

Pathfinder Online takes pieces of Ultima Online, SWG and EVE and is a completely player driven sandbox game. This is the next big thing for us at Pax Gaming. We already have two guaranteed city plots, but we need more people to inhabit these cities!

You can always tell a fanboi from a gamer by the fact he didn't mention Elite Dangerous but did Star Citizen...

Also The Repopulation, Gloria Victis, Tree of Savior (potentially), the upcoming EVE online expansions which hint at intergalactic expansion, etc
