Hello,
WoW is currently my favorite MMO out there, however, there are certain quest bugs that have bothered me twice now. I have worked on the development of programs before so I know how hard it is to be a developer, and I also figured they were going to say, "sorry about the problem" and then just say im SOL on the xp. Instead of saying sorry, they say not only can I not help you, but there's no problems with that specific quest and please look on our website for help with the quest. I have been to three forums, including the main WoW page, and all of them have the same damn response of "bugged". What the fuck, if everyone that has worked on the quest has gone on the forum to complain that the quest is bugged and have had no response of "oh yeah i figured it out it has to be done this way" instead people are responding "yeah it must be bugged I just spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to exchange the item". One of the quests was so obviously bugged also, You escorted a guy through and out of an instance, and once you completed it he would just stand there with a grey ? over his head. If you left the instance after trying to figure out what to do and figured he might be outside you got a message of quest failed and he returned to where you first found him. WoW Customer Support is Bullshit.

j/k, Blizzard's Customer Service really is the worst.

Is it the jailbreak quest you are talking about? That one is not bugged for sure.
The quest has to do with Kodo Dragons, I found out it is doable, but not doable in a normal way as just clicking, you for some reason have to run and click at the same time when you turn in your kodo to the guy in desolace, it is actually bugged. I have actually made contact with Blizzard's overall Customer Service because of the way they handled it, I understand you can't give hints but jesus when something is wrong and buggedyou have to post something or say something. But that's not the only quest htat i have found truly bugged. Blizzard seems to respond faster and is easier to deal with than the actual GMs of WoW.

Try SOE customer support sometime. That whole company is so messed up its nuts. A bunch of freeze dried whack a loons over there.
I think the problems with WoW some people are seeing are from the success. I really dont think Blizzard could have predicted this game would be as popular as it is. You have a game with over 1 million players on and it gets difficult for them to even keep up. From all the things I have heard about the problems it looks more like running around freaking out because too many people showed up for the party and there is no more beer left.
It surprises even me and I hate Blizzard.

I think you are partly right. The WoW support staff is lagging behind the player population, and they cannot respond promptly to all requests for support. They are hiring more employees as suggested on the WoW site.
On the flipside, the playerbase is not the most cohesive, organized, or mature group. There are professionals and upstanding citizens who play the game, but it is more often frequented by youths and troublesome individuals who can make the community unpleasant. A good chunk of posts in the discussion forums are of the trolling or flaming sort, and it is difficult to identify legitimate complaints or concerns. A lot of time is spent busting cheaters, griefers, answering complaints, and locking threads - instead of addressing otherwise valid issues like the one you described. At the very least, many complaints are uninformative or poorly written summaries of the problem.
In short, providing customer service to a large, demanding, and often immature playerbase is a very difficult task. You will never please everyone, and it will take a lot of time to sort through each individual complaint.
I dob't understand how he manages to get all quests bugged? Does he even read the quest log. Both quests he has described here I have never had any trouble with.
wow lags/bugs heaps!

The NA servers are really laggy most of the time, and many are queued-up during peak hours. Blizzard's answer to this: Pick 20 servers and shut off new character creation on them. This helps those 20 to some degree, but now the noobs are forced to play on the other 100 or so servers, about 80 of which are already Full and Max (Queued) much of the time.
Thanks, Blizzard. That really helped a lot.

Not just quests, when you file any petition they will generally use a program to look for keywords and have an autmated program send an email to you with suggested help.
I know this how?
Cause any sane person who read what I wrote wouldn't have sent me the gibberish they did.
Oh and they never get back to you.
CCP 4TW, Eve-Online had the best support, 70+K people and only 5 CS and I didn't have a problem.
Oh, and CCP had a priority system....exploits and stuck petitions always were answered very quickly.
Seems like Blizzard treats Stuck petition the same as "omg my quest won't finish" petitions, so I can't even play the game, cause the GM's are off smokin' teh dope.
Never is a Blizzard product again for me.

Have to agree to some extent. SOE is even worse than this report. Granted, I've had great CS from Blizzard myself but that's jsut my issues.
Normally, for CS, I'd rather be tied by my tongue to the tailpipe of a speeding car and dragged on my stomach over a 100 miles of broken glass rather than deal with the scriptr eading freaks who seem to propagate call centers lately.
CCP, always dealt with important petitions very quickly.
They only have 72 or so employees with 5 answering with more than 2000 petitions....
And when they investigated me...for eh stuff I did.....and exploits, was done well.
And they answered my exploit and stuck petitions very quickly, didn't take them 2 days like Blizzard.
Well, they can increase the staff.
IMHO. I think Blizzard is now a big, fat, wealthy company. They earn quite a big amount of money. Min 5,000,000*15$ monthly. I'm certain they can affor 1-5 new customer support ppl. But on other thing. They earned the money for the rest of their lives.
Why bother do something?
