nice games to be a crafter//vendor?

For quite a few months I've been looking for something new, something that wouldn't make me feel bored in the MMO industry... after awhile, I gave up looking in the new things, and started looking in the old things...

then I've found out what I'm looking for... something that is fun, won't stress me out, won't force me to play, and will reward me by my skill as a player, not as how much time I spent killing mobs... making gold!

I'm a lover of PvP, and I hate not being able to do that, but when I look back, I never really had a store in UO... even tho I loved them alot... I even had a few vendors that would sell my loot, but it wasnt the same as owning a store and advertising it...

in WoW (the game I'm playing atm) making gold is NOT fun... in UO when u make alot of gold you could just go and buy a castle, decorate it, and do whatever you want... actually I was one crappy PvPer in UO, I'd just take my bow out and snipe ppl... even tho I had lots of deaths, I could barely kill a foe in 1v1, so I'd spent most of my time gathering loot for selling and feeling I had lots nice stuff :P

in Gunzoo online, a game with no PvP, I played for quite a long time... why? because the market system was SO cool...

so what I'm looking for is pretty simple, I'm not going to ask for the MMO of my dreams because thats impossible to get, I dont think it even exists... I'm looking for a GOOD game, with not bad economy, where you can choose to get rich instead of killing stuff. Any ideas?

(I've tried Ragnarok, Eve, Lineage2, don't like any of these)

edit
also any kind of housing or similar is VERY welcome (like in gunzoo you could even own a town and manage the buildings, and we all know about UO housing)

Everquest 2 sounds like something you might like. Sadly you dont get to see how the crafting and selling works on the trail. You DO get to craft in the trail, but miss out on the more advanced stuff.

You get a house and crafting takes time and skill to do. Crafting has its own leveling system and the end result of the item depends on your skill in crafting as well as the quality of the resoures used. You sell via you house you can act as a vendor (people have to come to you home and interact with you like a NPC vendor, or you can put stuff in you house vault and sell.

Maybe you have a friend that can intoduce you to the game and show you?

    not interested in DnL ::::07::

plus as I said I already tried looking into the future... since I can't play these games (age of conan, DnL, vanguard) as they aren't playable yet, I'm looking around for stuff that already exists

I mean, seriously, there must be a nice game with cool economy

EQ2 has the best crafting system I have yet seen in an MMORPG.

well, you say you have already tried EVE. that is the game with the best economic system that i know. maybe SWG too, but now its a little screw.

i dont know why you didnt like EVE (not saying that is not possible, just that i dont know), but i dont think you'll find a better economic system than that.

but if you do, let me know. i also enjoy deep and complex economic games.

Ya, Seed for the best choice when the beta comes out.

A Tale in the Desert for choice #2... pure crafting.

Hero's Journey when it comes out mid year.  No grinding manufacturing type stuff.  It is truly crafting an item.  At least from wha they claim at the moment.

I strongly have to disagree on that. I have a max-level alchemist in eq2. It was pretty nice crafting in eq2 before but its just getting worse with every patch. By making it easier all the time it also gets more boring. But hey, thats just my opinion.

I heard from different people that Daoc has a very nice crafting-system. Never played it myself though.

Pfft, sounds like they copied the crafting from the SWG dev team :p  Curious if it is as complex as SWG though.  At least in SWG you can set up vendors to sell your stuff (bugger sitting around for people :p)
