I haven't been able to get to the website all day. This includes not getting to myeve.eve-online.com..... like last week it was just www.eve-online.com that was down.

About an hour ago or so I seem to have lost DNS for the eve-online.com domain. Hopefully it's just a temporary thing, I don't know how I'd survive if it were to be blocked from work. :)

Yeah, I just heard from a corp mate who can access it fine. I wonder if this a localized DNS problem. I'm in Kentucky, USA. How about you other guys having problems accessing the eve-o site?

I was unable to access it around then as well, haven't tried lately though.

I can't get to the forums at all. Can get to the main site though. Been like that all day.

Try typing the actual IP address instead of the domain name. For all you lazy folks, it's http://87.237.38.100/ Now you can troll the boards all you want, again.

yeah, I was having the same problems, but used the IP to get around the DNS issue and it works fine that way.

Not real helpful since that IP is www.eve-online.com and the forums are under myeve.eve-online.com, so we can't hit the forums. :) Sadly my work's DNS is screwed up so we're not able to resolve it, maybe I'll try some other nslookup sites.

It seems like the eve-online and the myeve are on different servers though. I was able to browse the forums even though the main website was down.

After I hit main eve website, i was able to hit forums using the name instead of IP. Anyway, check out www.dnsstuff.com if you ever need to resolve something to IP.

The following lines added to your hosts file (C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts) will provide access to most of the eve-online sites, but won't let the client connect. I have cancelled my account until this is fixed.

    157.157.139.201 myeve.eve-online.com
    63.240.89.10 support.eve-online.com
    157.157.139.100 secure.eve-online.com
    87.237.38.100 www.eve-online.com

    cheers,

    dave.

Don't forget the test-patch server if you're interested in downloading the test patches for Singularity / Sisi while this mess is getting sorted out.

There is also a WWW2 server for the EVE main page as well, so add..
