Over the last month we have continued on the path that we started last year - gathering information from our players about what you want to see us working on next, and focusing on this information as the core of our patches. We will continue to poll for this information as well as gather feedback from various board threads and the Herald. From our most recent feedback there are two areas that we are going to be focusing on for the upcoming 1.82 version. These top two areas are the continuation of Class Enhancements and Guild and Alliance clustering improvements.
Hybrid Enhancements: We are looking at three hybrids for this version - the Friar, the Thane and the Warden. As with the heavy tanks, our goal is to reinvigorate these classes to make them more fun and interesting to play. Each of these classes is getting unique changes applied to them that will fit with their individual roles in battle. Keep an eye open for patch notes which explain how we are approaching this with each class.
Assassin Enhancements: We are also looking at the three assassin classes in each realm with an eye towards improving them overall, but especially in RvR. We are going to be adding improvements which better enable them to fulfill their role of stealthy one on one killers and castle infiltrators.
Guild and Alliance Clustering Improvements: We really appreciate all of the feedback we have received about this issue. At long last and in response to this feedback we are implementing the ability for guilds and alliances to form across all servers in a cluster. As you can see from our first Pendragon patch note v1.82a, we are well on our way to making this happen.
We will continue to move forward with class enhancements as quickly as we can, but this will definitely take several more patch cycles and continuous testing and feedback. We know that you are each sensitive to when your class will be looked at, and we will be looking at them as quickly and carefully as possible. We are continuing to gather more feedback and will be taking more polls in the near future to help us focus on what is next.
Your participation in feedback and taking polls is very important to us, and we really appreciate your involvement in helping us to determine what we should be looking at next. Thanks again!

Great news for sure.

Mark is busy with Warhammer He doesn't sleep much because I see him post at some very late hours.
But I do have a similar question, is this producers letters meant to be a replacement for the usual annual State of the Game message?
I'll ask about that. But for the record, this letter was only in reference to the current patch really so can't be a replacement for an overall State of the Game address. That being said there's no guarantee one is coming soon, but like I said, I'll ask.

Speaking as someone who has a 50 warden:
I'm surprised they're doing wardens ahead of Valkyries.... Valks really really need some love.

There are a lot of classes that need love, and we'll be getting to them over time I'm sure... That being said could we really have done Thanes, Valks and Friars and leave Hib completely out? Nope, don't think so. We have to take things slow and steady, can't do all the classes at once, so some people are definitely going to have to wait their turn. No matter what order we go in there will always be someone who feels Class X should have been before Class Y and Class Z for whatever reason. The most often reason naturally being said person plays Class X, but occasionally it is just because they feel from an unbiased opinion that Class X needs love more.

Speaking as a Hib at heart I personally wouldn't have minded hib not getting attention in the first round. Overall hib's classes are the most balanced. I think our only really 'weak' class is the Champion, personally. There ARE those that would complain though so I concede your point /bow
I like to think of myself as unbiassed. I don't play Thane, Friar, Valk or Champion and I think all of them deserve attention before the Warden But you gotta start somewhere and 2 of the 3 classes I think are weakest are getting the first nod so I really don't mind. And hey, if you make my Warden a lot more fun to play I may have to revisit my old stomping grounds on Iseult... Really wish we could move characters to new servers though. I'd love to move him to one of the classic servers. (I really really really hate buff bots, can you tell?) Ahh well.

Hehe, same here.
While you might be ok with Hib getting left out of the patch, let me tell you there are SEVERAL thousand people out there who's first throught will be "OMG Mythic hates Hib!!!".

I don't even want to see ANY hib say they need love and how Mythic hates Hibs because of how good the Vamps and Bainshees are in the game. Personally I don't think they are all that but that's just me playing my first toon and not having a 50th level character yet. I've heard mixed opinions from several people that are level 50 including our guild members in RBW. Some says that Vamps are way overpowered, some say they are not that big a deal if you spec your character right for RvR. I know I'm still inexperienced in the game and I don't have my Reaver to level 50 yet, but from what I've seen so far with Vamps...I don't really have a problem beating them unless I get 2 on me at once.
Every single 1 on 1 Vamp fight I've had I have won. In fact I have won every 1 on 1 battle in Thid with the exception of this one guy who came up to me, insta mez'd me, ran out of melee ranged and then nuked me FAST, and before I could even get to him I was dead. Alot of times I'd be in a group and my group would say "Trist, you go after the vamp and we'll take care of the rest". So when we'd see a bunch of hibs I'd target the vamp and start whaling on him, while trying to pull him away from the rest of his group and it would just be me and him going at it.
Of course this is just at Thid and not at high end RvR yet in which I'll be eating these words later on I'm sure.
RvR is great fun.

Wait Mythic doesn't hate Hib? I must have missed that patch note.
What amazes me is that after 4+ years the messages boards are all the same. People who play Alb (and now Mid) will complain that Hib is too powerful and needs to be nerfed. I also find it odd that people insist that Hib is now the dominante realm in terms of number of players. If that is true, then why are most message boards filled with Albs with a dash of Mids?
Honestly there is one thing I want done for Hib and the sooner the better. I want the Bainshee LOS issue fixed. That way I won't have to here complaints about Bainshees as often.
My concern is fix assassins so I can go kill archers again (please remove MoS and that will solve he whole problem I think). Fix bolts so that my Eld is worth playing. VW need a little love. Other than that I think most classes are pretty good with only minor tweaks needed for Hib.

All Hibs should die
EDIT - No idea why the quote didn't work
