Weapons, Armor and Models

Hi,

One of my main concerns about this game after looking at various images is the fact that weapons and armor (if im not mistaken) look exactly the same depending on level, meaning there is only one look, for example lvl 35 armor and weapons have only one model.

This could also mean that in the end everyone will look the same, ie. all lvl 50 Accretian warriors will be exact replicas, in terms of looks, this poses a problem as people want to be as unique as possible when playing mmorpg's.

I found a website from a previous thread where these models can be seen, and they do look quite impressive i have to say.

However i may be mistaken about this, and these images may merely be samples.

Some info and opinions about this matter would be greatly appreciated image

    As of yet, those are it when it comes to armor and weapons. One reason given for this is that due to the massive size of the constant battles it would be extremely difficult to load 100's of different peoples' armors and weapons. Another reason about the armor is that since these are different warring factions they are simply uniforms which designate rank. You're not a separate Rambo in this game. You are part of an army. Although, any class can use any armor if they train their PTs to do so. You can also mix and match the pieces if you wish. It's rumored that more customization will be part of the game later on but this is up to the original company, CCR, to implement. Sorry to disappoint.

    This is EXACTLY why I've been saying on other boards. The game takes place in a war in which each race is fully organized for their part in that war. I don't know if you've noticed, but most of the people in our armed forces look like a bunch of clones when they're dressed for combat. Only they don't have awesome swords and/or animae. (plural of animus, for those of you who don't know Latin)

    Ok, ty for the posts, thats pretty much answered all my questions.

    And like you said Exhorder, dissappointed indeed :(

    It seems that in this game there is little uniqueness or character customisation, everyone is a wheel in a well-oiled war machine, im sure this appeals to many players, being part of singular fighting force striving for the same goals.

    In some ways this also appeals to me, however i would also like to retain a certain uniqeness that stands you out from most, and on occasion be a 'separate rambo' lol.

    Dont take me for a dick when i say this, but i find the lack of effort in this sector pretty pathetic, being a nobody and a 'uniform' in one big army does not appeal to me, the only people who would get any recognition and a degree of uniqueness are those of the higher ranks. Something which takes time i simply dont have.

    Just like in WoW, you will find this game will serve those with a great deal of time on their hands well.. but in a worse way than WoW ever did.

    Way too much focus on PvP mechanics and structure, too little on individual characters, not my cup of tea, maybe yours.

    Hope i didnt burst anyones bubble with this rant, just my opinion image
