From reading some patchnotes on the official Battlenet forums, i am getting thefeeling i might not like their new ballancing parody... They are removing the underused abilities and skills from the game...
they are making tanks tanks again, healers healers again and dps straight dps again...... Which means that they are quickly removing most utillity and CC from the game... Thats a pitty.. They seem to be simplifying things even further.

Simplifying? We have to see the classes in action in order to judge. However, viewing the list of changes regarding builds i get the impression that their goal is to make each build as unique as possible with as many exclusive abilities as possible. For example, going through the hunter spec's info (beast master, marksman, survival) i noticed that they are removing almost all cross spec abilities in an effort to make each one feel more distinct.
Personally, i like this approach.
Agreed. Some classes just have too much clutter in terms of abilities that offer enough utility to be used. I know my warlock has a lot going on in terms of actionbar clutter and I assume some classes have it even worse. Difficulty in WoW has never really stemmed from how many abilities there are or how multipurpose your class can perform, it has always been more about how encounter mechanics work or your ability to break down the PvP flowchart in a second.

You have got to be F'in kidding me. Warrior is so basic, I'd love to see you play a rogue or feral druid. Warrior has the most butt F easy rotation, only skill you need to play a warrior is: Be able to look at the screen while smashing head into keyboard.
I had three actions bars as hunter (30 abilities) action bar one was my main abilities, 2 was mostly utility and 2 was pet and misc. although I was very effient with it I would much prefer 1 action bar for class abilties and another for pet and everything thing else, so I support the changes in WoD.
I had fun once, it was terrible.
If they manage to bring back some identify to classes and their varied specs, i really don't mind.
I've always felt that many of my abilities really did nothing to increase difficulty, they just felt like clutter and made it harder for newer players to get into the game.
As long as the WoD dungeons and Raids manage to offer up a challenge, they can nerf skills all they want, i do hope we all get to keep / get new CC or utility skills though, doing nothing but spam DPS is getting a little old.
Yes sure... bringing AoE attacks down to 1, thats a good thing, they are bringing back 1 button AoE tanking... No, i dont think tahts a good idea...
From my point of a healer, i see them taking away a lot of the utillity, that i loved... doing more then just healing as a healer in groups was what made me love this game... CC, buffing and countering moves of the ennemie... all gone... now healers might get shoved with 17 heal buttons and 3 DPS buttons.... and i dont think any class needs 17 buttons to heal... but thats what they are doing... take everything away thats not needed for the chore role of the spec...

Right now everyone can do everything another class can do in only a slightly different way. The button mashing is real. The macro'ing with addons in near 2k rating arenas: insane.
I preferred when only a few classes had a form of hard CC while the 2-3 others had strong survivability CDs and you had your jack of all trades in the mix.
But well, that's for the PvP side of it.
On the PVE side, some guy streaming Alpha said it well. Your class (talking about the DPS side of things) should be fighting against it's resources always trying to manage what you have to maximize it's potential. Taking the warriors for example, as it is, they are doing their rotation using heroic strike as a rage dump so that they don't go past 100% and waste generation of rage. They always have something to look at on their screen. On the alpha, with the removal of some of their abilities, namely heroic strike, they have 2-3 seconds while waiting for skills to get back up and (apparently) either have a full rage bar waiting to be unloaded or an empty one trying to be filled.
I played since Vanilla, first character was a 3 minutes mage PoM-Pyro. For those of you who don't know, well you can guess from the nickname of the spec. You had a huge burst every 3 minutes with an instant presence of mind-pyroblast then you basically ran around waiting on your CDs. It did have it's super fun moments, like taking down the top enemy warrior of your server in under 5seconds, but it was a mostly empty spec.
Tl:DR: I think right now the game needs to prune abilities to classes across the board, but if they intend to bring it back to the level of mindlessness of vanilla wow, they are shooting themselves in the foot.
