Wat's so important bout fame anyway?

Why the hell is fame so important? I dont' see why. And why are pros so worried about defame... hmm...

    U know wat.. i do'nt really know, but i think it gives u a better item drop rate. i'm not sure. whenever i ask a pro, they'll say "I'm FAMOUS" lol

    You need fame for some cash items and for some really high level items. But...uhh...you only need 10 fame for level 70 equips im pretty sure. I have about 20 fame and i'm a level 43 -_-

    FAME DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR DROP RATE...

    and nightphantom, you're only partially right.
    As it is used to wear "higher" level equips...the requirement isn't 10, it's 20.
    Also, some quests require a certain amount of fame to activate also.

    The fame required items start at level 40 clothes and up.
    CASH SHOP ITEMS DO NOT NEED FAME...if I am wrong, prove it to me with an un-edited SS.

    p.s. the fame required items are dark sets.

    Fame is a big important part of the game so try not to get defamed

    Don't misguide people, fame is NOT a big part of this game...
    Sureeee it may look good, and yea...it allows you to wear dark sets...and do some quests, however, it's not NECESSARY...
    You don't HAVE to wear dark sets...some of the other colors give the EXACT same stats...
    Also, some quests aren't even worth doing.

    Yea thats bullsht that ur drop rate is higher when u have higher fame, u just need a little bit of fame for some quests and some equipment. Actually its not that important.

    To bad it doesnt affect Drop Rate. That would be awsome little addition to the game. Even if MS has already set itself apart from all the Other MMORPGs.

    I heard rumor that they are planning on a MS II. Is there any truth to this? I would love to know more on it, if anyone knows anything on it.

    fame can be sold for money which pro like to buy when they hav nth better to do......a fame can be sold for 6k-8k not a bad price

    Don't believe anything unless it is announced on the official website.
    Fame affecting drop rates would completely crash the MapleStory financial economy. Terrible idea.

    fame is usefull for picking up items from monsters more easily for shure and i thought also  for just a very phew quests i thought image

    This was a thread asking what's imporant about fame...not how much fame you have.
