It's called football Football came way before what Americans call "American football". We made up this game and we called it football. It's Americans who decided to rename it. Makes you wonder why you call what you play American "football" when you don't even use your feet to play it.
Not that this is relevant. The British called it "Association Football" to begin with and then nicknamed it soccer, when it came to the states we used the nickname that was at the time widely popular in England as the official name of the sport. We didn't just take the rules of the game and rename it.
I just find it funny you guys give us a hard time because we call the sport soccer and the entire reason we do that is because we learned that name from you.
As for American Football it is named that because it was traditional for sports that involved using your feet to some degree to be called football. Much like Rugby Football and Association Football. However as the American game developed, the use of the feet to pass the ball was phased out in favor of the more entertaining spectacle of throwing the ball. In the States due to its popularity, American Football simply became football. The same can be said for Association Football in Britain and Rugby Football ended up just dropping the football designation.
The more you know!
Also, Belgium deserved that win as much as it pains me say. Without Tim Howard, the US would have been completely dismantled and not even made it to OT.

I always see new members win alot of stuff in the past. Sadly they will not block people that make accounts only to get a key and are never seen again. Contributors and long time followers have to put up with it, right Michael?
I already have my key so I will not need one.
Good luck to those who have been here since 6+ months. I hope you all win the keys.

This point has been raised when ALOT of people got upset that this site gave the ridiculously low amount of Wildstarkeys (which at that time were very hard to get due to Carbine's poor handling of beta invites) to a majority of posters with 1 post.
Basicly they say "FU" to the people who actively contribute to this site on a daily basis for years and years, the people who made this page and at the end of the day enable them to make a living of this.
I guess it was the admin who in that discussion stated that they intend tol keep it that way.
Its fishing for pagehits, clicks, views to keep the ad-money flow. Further on inflating their number of supposedly 2.7mio "members" of which only a handful contribute to this page.
Everyone who visits this site for longer knows that they have long sold out and lost integrity on many levels times ago.
PS: And no, i'm not mad that i wont get a key, i quit WoW two weeks pre Cata.

I agree. 9 out of 10 people posting in this thread have like 1 or 2 posts and joined in the past few weeks. The ones that joined a few weeks ago probably did so to take advantage of the last round of beta keys and looking at their profiles most of them aren't from NA. They probably spam every web site they can find to get beta keys.

I'll be honest with you, I probably haven't bothered to set up my profile and all that. I recently heard about this giveaway taking place and got pretty hyped. I'm not one to beg, I'm just waiting patiently and hoping luck is on my side, y'know?
