Its have been over a year since I quit playing Horizons. Horizons was my first MMOG and the first place I called home. I remember buying the box from the store two days after christmas coming home to install it on my computer. Ive waited about three months for this game to come out and its finally installed. The sslik really drew me in to this game, I really love lizardmen so it perked my interest alot.
I remember coming to New Brommel the first time, there were so many people just in town. There was at least 40 people on the first day I came on. It was like that for about a month. There was maybe only five players in new brommel when I left.
Really what I truely miss is my character. I really love lizardmen, so I had to be the sslik. Its so far and still is the best playable lizardmen race that is avaliable on any MMOG and perhaps the best on any game so far, that includes the Iksar on EQ2. Its might be strange that someone would miss a fantasy character, especially from a game a few would conside mediocre. To me I always thought the sslik really made Horizons the game of choice.
This is just my thought for today, I just thought I would share it.

Unfortunatly, MMORPG have gotten worse over the years not better. HZ was a debocle and WoW and EQ2 turned out to be shallow in search of $$ than deep immersive.
I see you played a few MMoRPG's but the absolute best "Lizard people" to play was far greater than the Sslik you mentioned. THey had no special abilities, they were just a graphical human. Everquest original Iksar was a great experience. If you truely like the Race you've sold yourself short on the experience.
To this day, with 11+ MMORPG's to choose from the 3 best are still the 1st Gen Everquest, Ashron's Call and DAOC ...!
Everquest2 ruined the EQ lore and feel, don't think Everquest is anything like the childish EQ2. I grew bored after4 years starting in March of 1999, BUT....
... if you've never played Everquest then you really will never know why these types of game took-off. For $9.99 you can get Origian EQ and 1 month free....
Heck now you can get the original EQ plus all the expansions for $19.99 plus the 1 month free....
