The combat is different. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. There are plenty of games with faster combat (GW2, Tera, Wildstar, etc).
I like the traditional tab targetting. Besides, the encounters are designed with constant movement.... if the GCD was any faster it would be hard to fit in abilities inbetween the mechanics of the fight. The mechanics and combat design go hand in hand.
Yes, it's slower than other games, but when you're fighting end game bosses, the fights don't seem slow at all, if anything, there are too many things going on at the same time.
If you didn't like the combat to begin with, there is no amount of content this game will add that will change it for you, maybe it's time to make the decision that this game will never be designed for your tastes... and that's cool. But there's no use in trying to change something that obviously will not change.
When is the last time an MMO EVER, fundamentally changed its combat mechanics? Maybe WoW, i don't know.
As for me, I get my fast action fix from Defiance and my reg mmorpg fixin from FFXIV

Downloaded before work. Probably gonna get my stable setup before frontlines. Can't wait!
You imply that it was something that required "fixing" which it isn't. It is, just different and evidently not something for your tastes, that's fine, what you like is what you like, but the game is not 'less' than or 'broken' because you don't personally enjoy it's combat system.
What do you mean fixed? I wasn't aware anything was wrong with it. Combat is plenty fast paced enough for me tanking dungeons, that's for sure.
Are we talking about the same game here?
