The Elder Scrolls Online team has released a new video to show off some of what players can expect when Update 3 is deployed to the game. Update 3 is expected to hit live service in early August and will bring with it a host of bug fixes and systems enhancements as well as armor dyes, tabards and other ways to customize characters. See all that's in store in the video and let us know what you think in the comments.

And I think this staff/light armor issue is more pvp related and not really related towards pve?
Now that looks like a decent improvement in the form of guild tabards and dyes and even local stores that have to be bid for.
I think its still a few updates away from a must play though but I like the direction its going. I'd prob play when they add the DB and thieves questlines.
Is PvE related. At endgame, with trials and dungeons is all about light armor+resto staff, everything else is just useless.
1st 20 secs, all the grp but the tank have a staff and ligh armor.
Update 3 looks good, but not enough to make people come back to the game. Is just a fluff update. Too many problems to be addressed, like the class balance on PvE and the VR grind. The game is good, have potential, but still need a few more months of updates.
For someone who doesn't like the game you don't half spend a lot of time on the forums talking about it.Move on already.
Nonetheless he brings up a valid issue.
Why not focus on actual point rather than attacking him?
This is not ESO fan site.

I really hope this gets addressed very soon. I'm a melee only kind of player. I love my 2 hander and dual wielding. Since I'm not shooting for endgame top gear at the moment. I'm just leveling characters with my wife. I can play heavy armor + 2 hander/dual wield and still do fine. Guess i'll wait till they bring melee some balance before I attempt any real endgame.
Haven't seen a bot for weeks, so I think its time for the people that haven't played since release to drop that one...its just not relevant anymore and glaringly show that you haven't played for over a month.
I actually play a heavy dual wield nightblade and enjoy the extra challenge that a "not easy" class gives me...diif strokes for diff folks I guess.
And here is someone who does not play the game, yet still wants to say something hip.
Optimization is back to normal. Yes we had to deal with bad performance for 2 weeks (2 weeks too long) due to patch 1.2. We are back to the silky smooth technical marvel we were used to.
edit - We had some server side lag tonight >.< atleast I did. Small price to pay for epicness
That's the same build I play. I enjoy it and have no trouble killing anything PVE.
To be honest i would not care so much about what DMKano is posting but when he post in almost all Newsroom and when basically just talk crap for it seems he don't real know what he is talk about most of the time.
I have to agree with nerovipus32 most of us know that DMKano don't like ESO and it is ok but it is time for him to move on but i guess it is hard when you are forum troll
Its funny no matter how much they have to done in just a few months of being out it will still not be enough for some which are probably more or less haters. I mean they have done a great job of listening and addressing issues fast for an MMo but yet some act like its otherwise or not enough and they have fixed a lot of what was wrong while also adding what its players want so I would say that's great support and a good sign that they really care but hey nowadays you find more haters posting then you do otherwise so better off not listening.
Also lol as far as optimization goes I play both Wildstar and ESO 2 mmos I like and if you want to talk about bad optimization go play wildstar, great MMO but the optimization on it is bad and should have been a lot better period never mind by now no matter what you play it with. Also FYI to gentlemen who said ESO felt rushed almost ever MMO now and in past seems to be launched that way its nothing new but what counts is what they do afterwards.
Dude I've ran S&B/DW the whole time. Playing the majority of the game solo. I'm at VR9 now. Grouped up I feel extremely valuable to the group.
Next to max health and regen, stamina regen is my primary stat. Fights take longer but stamina makes you much more survivable.
My alt is level 40. His primary stat is stamina, using a bow. Sure I'm not Vet with him yet, but I've done every group dungeon no problem and always play a zone ahead of my level.
You just need to realize the benefits stamina gives you and use them. Avoid more and use your weapon skills often and wisely. Use class abilities that are not greatly affected by max mana. Take advantage of your higher than normal weapon damage. Dodge and break free to stay alive.
To dream, perhaps to be.
My only question is the same one I have about every new MMO I see.
Is it possible, without doing any grouping or PvP, to obtain the best in slot gear? I don't care how long it takes, is it possible?
If the answer is no, then thanks but no thanks.
I'm so sick of developers using the mMo part to deny end game progression to those who prefer to solo.
Offer two methods of achieving it! Once I hear "You must have X friends", it might as well be a facebook game.
Yes, craftters make the best gear.
At the same time, gear doesn't quite work like you might think. No mater the gear, you choose the stats, type and style.
Interesting. Somebody is famous for posting a valid point. Two people single them out for personal abuse and make out like the OP is the troll. Sorry but if you care about a game and are making a valid point then why should the trolls get to decide when it is time to 'move on'?
if you do not like it that is your call but this is an MMO fansite. It is for people to discuss the flaws and virtues of the games we want to like.
if you cannot deal with that or are working in a marketing dept trying to control bad news 'move on'.
The game is group unfriendly for the first 50 levels, then group necessary for the next 100 levels, but people will (would?) only group if you have light armour and staves. How do they fix it, by making grouping even less important, rather than repairing the early grouping issues, or making the difficulty ramp up more gradually from 1 to 150.
People hate the VR portion, mostly the reusing plotlines from the other alliances and the slow advancement, how do they fix it? change its name? I don't really get the Champion points system. At 50 can you now go PVP with equal stats as everyone, or...?
But we have dyes and tabards!
Hi
I tried a lot of setups, the only one that worked for me was Healing Staff and any kind of armor you want to use.
My main played with Destruction Staff and heavy armor until about half way through then had to switch to Restoration.
My second character started out with Restoration Staff and has almost never died getting to level 45.
When I hit 50 I created a 3rd character and started playing a different alliance and started over again.
I will go ahead with my level 50 character too, but I prefer the early game play.
I've never been big on PvP, always seem to be getting ganged up on, because I play alone most of the time. PvP is for groups and this game was not about grouping at all up to level 50.
In fact it was about the least group friendly MMO I've ever played, and I started with Ultima Online almost 20 years ago.
They actually made it hard to play with another player.
