Popular Medium-Low spec free to play mmo?

Hello! I'v always loved MMO's. I'v played a bunch casually, and only a couple seriously (WoW, EVE Online).

I'm trying to find a popular free to play medium-low spec MMO to put on my laptop. My laptop is a Macbook pro 13 inch, and is mainly used for school. I want to put an MMO on it however, something to always have on their to play whenever I have free time.

My macbook is dual booted with windows, so compatibility isn't an issue. The specs are OKAY, but not the greatest for gaming. It was not bought for gaming, but I'd like a good mmo to play on it.

A decently sized active player base is really important to me in an MMO. I'v played mmo's where it is a total ghost town everywhere you go, and I hated it.

I'm having trouble finding a good, popular, medium-low spec MMO to put on my laptop. I always value the suggestions and opinions of others so I'm asking here for any help!

Any suggestions BESIDES Runescape would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Everquest 1, Runes of Magic, Star Trek Online, Rift all come to mind. Yea, they are going to be on low-medium settings, but still very playable on an average non gaming pc.

    Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
    Have played: You name it
If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.

Funny because I thought I asked this a while ago. But if you want some try out LOTR Online.

Rift or Tera Rising come to mind, both of which you can tweak graphical settings to enhance the gameplay and fps. These are also medium popularity.

If you want something to play on your particular computer, it would be good to list your specs.

Apple has traditionally gone with mid-range hardware in both the iMac and the MacBook Pro--and in particular, not low end.  (The MacBook Air and Mac Mini get the low-end hardware.)  So with Boot Camp, most MMORPGs should be playable for you, unless your computer is very old.
