Dungeons

A quick question. My wife and I made it to lvl 28 or something and had to leave awhile. We own a restaurant and at this time of the year it s crazy so haven t logged in , in awhile. Question is, do we have to do dungeons to progress? Can we get decent gear doing other pve stuff and frontlines? Come winter we can do some dungeons etc, but for the next 4-6 months just no time for that yet still enjoy playing from time to time. We re not raiders, so the ultimate gear isn t necessary, just decent stuff to do end game FATEs etc.

Thanks for the help.

Well doing your main storyline, general quest's, class quest's, and battle leve's will all pretty much gear you up to 50 if its your first class.

Battle leve's come from the leve-masters which are scaterd arund on every map, pretty much. Thers one in your main starting city, basically where you start the game at, I believe. Can check that one, and it will tell you were to go for certain levels.

They've made it pretty easy to gear up in Ilvl 90 gear, you can do daily and weekly hunts that they just added for gear. You don't have to dedicate a whole lot of time to do end game content. If you can squeeze in a couple hours a day to do dungeon the randoms give out nice amount of tomes for the ilvl 100 gear.

Cool. I heard frontlines give tomes. Is that strictly for pvp gear? I m a little lost on all the tomes, and what they re for.

Tomes are for pve gear, there is tomes of mythology for the ilvl 90 set, and tomes of soldiery that are for the ilvl 100 gear but is has a cap for the week. I'm not sure what you get for doing frontlines I know that the gear is bought with different currency though.

Thanks for the help. It seems for us (not raiders) theres enough to do to keep us occupied without having to touch that content.

If you do want to progress through the main story - and it is one of the strengths of the game - then sooner or later you will be in a dungeon/boss instance.

Some of the later content has requirements, "must have done xxxxxx" etc. If you skip these by just levelling through Fates for example, then you'll find yourself having to go back to do them anyway.

Frontlines rewards both PVE and PvP currency.  You get 50 Mythology and 25 Soldiery per match (PVE gear rewards) and some PVP experience and Marks for PVP gear based on how well your team did.

With this last patch the developers made it pretty easy to get geared up.  If you're still working on the main story then just keep following that along until you complete the events at Praetorium.  That's when things will really start to open up in terms of the higher level gear.

There's also lots of non-combat things to do now in game, so you might want to check those out as well.

imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageOne of my friends introduce me a new game  which name is The league of angels. So I started playing the game and I am just amazed at how awesome it is. I love the graphical interface and I find the world beautiful. I am way more impressed with the graphics of this game compared to other recent MMORPG.

However, what pleasantly surprised me was how much there is to do in this game. There are story quests, random side quests, class quests (I missed those so much from previous MMOs) and all these different types of logs with stuff to do - class logs, crafting/gathering logs etc.

The class system is just pure awesomeness! You can level up every class/profession/gathering profession on one character. Why other MMOs don't do this is beyond me. It's just too cool. It gives you tons of stuff to do if you want mix things up.

Of course, I am not sure what the endgame will be like but I don't really care. I usually leave shortly after doing the regular dungeons/levelling thing. Although this game has some endgame stuff which sound really interesting but time will tell.

pve and pvp gear are separate.

I would not bring pvp gear into dungeons, and at this point the players with mostly pvp gear will have a significant advantage in PvP.

That said, if you aren't hardcore raiders you can get by avoided the top raids, but u will need to do some dungeons if you want to keep progressing. Some of the gear you get from extremes, and the myth items are just too good to pass up and will give you a significant power boost.

Like someone mentioned earlier you have to do some of the dungeons/trials to progress through the main story. They usually only take about half an hour though.

Morale is disabled in Frontlines, so even if you don´t have PVP gear, you won´t be in a disadvantage there for not having PVP gear.
