    Glad ill be out of town. Getting login queues as it is now. If you happen to be on Balmung, please stop by lavender beds, ward 1, plot 2, and water my plants :). I have a king tomato thats almost ready to go.

    You should change the title because it starts on the 18th, not 16th.

    Wish this was for anyone regardless if you have the game or not.  Have some people interested and a free trial would really help.

    very misleading - this is only for people who bought the game and are in an inactive status. So its for those already "invested" in the franchise and offers nothing for those who may want to try the game before spending $.

    It is a free login weekend, as it says. Not a free trial. They are trying to bring back in players to see the new changes. Rumor around the FFXIV forums is that there will be a trial weekend when the xpac launches though.

    I'm looking forward to seeing some of the improvements they've made in the game. I'm sure that's what this weekend is about, showcasing the game in its' current state.

    That being said I'm more than likely going to be disappointed. 

    Well I'll see you guys when this game goes f2p in the fall!

    Every patch they see a little population spike where a few players resub to check out the new content and about a week later they quit and cancel their subs for the next few months. This game had a few fun encounters that got old really quick. 

    Oh now you can buy item level 95 equipment in the auction house, now you can buy gil and be raid geared. I'm so glad they gave us this free weekend so I could talk myself out of resubscribing.

    I got the email yesterday and fired it back up.  Not bad.  It had me thinking about a re-sub.  But I'm still leaning towards ArcheAge.
