The Alpha players already have a $75 cash shop advantage.....Think about that !
With giving them $75 in cash shop money....I knew that would come into play and be important, ever since I knew about the Alpha.

So those credits they can buy weapons of mass destruction ?
Nah they cant so uhm what else could they do with them credits ?
Buy a labor pot every 12 hours for 1 character as its account wide locked timer ?
Thats some seriously imbalanced pay to win stuff man.......better send some more haters to the Archeage front.
You could also call it a disadvantage since Alpha players paid $150 for it...
...and your 2nd post is total rubbish...
Obviously you have never played the game nor do you have any understanding of how the cash shop works. Also, wtf are you trying to point out with your example? That you would rather pay delivery fee's over buying a pick-up? Whatever, it is pointless.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.
Sometimes you don't even have to read too deep to find the underlying goal. I think he just wants a day off from work.
The point ?
Some times you have to sit back and think of the big picture. Do your own thinking.
You better stop thinking then as it makes zero sense lol.
It makes perfect sense.. you see.. if you have 4 pencils, and I have 7 apples, how many pancakes will fit on the roof? Purple, because aliens don't wear hats.
14 thousand......Been making pancakes all day.
Hay, just having some fun
Too legit to quit... Cashshop 4 life.
Way to loose all your credibility!
I know for a fact some aliens wear hats.....
Players with more time to play will certainly have a huge advantage over those who don't, that's a handicap I've labored under with all MMORPG's I've ever played. No fair I tell you.
Wait, back to the OP, couldn't someone who wasn't an alpha buyer spend 75 bucks in the cash shop?

I don't think people quite comprehend the immense grind it takes in AA to start an expeditionary force and build a castle in the north, siege weapons, etc.
Its huge. And it takes the cooperation of an entire guild.
And the grind is completely tied to Labor Points.
Selling them for RL money is absolutely pay to win. It just is.
It really doesn't irk me because sieges are such fail anyways, if that's what people want to spend their cash on, more power to them. But in theory territory control in the north is the end game in AA. It is the core design of the game. Everything you do builds towards that. Unfortunately they've never bothered to fix it so most don't bother anyways, but if it ever get's around to being meaningful, players will truly feel the effects of labor points in the cash shop.
You mean how trading PLEX for ISK in EVE has totally turned the tide for control of null sec space?
Oh wait, it didn't, and likely won't here either.

The whole concept of microtransactions is for players to purchase part of a game for an advantage. I don't why anyone believed Archeage would be decent the minute it was announced there was a cash shop for the US version. Common sense tells us that a developer would never keep 2 seperate codes of the same game, which is required to implement a version that doesn't incorporate a cash shop.
I find there is ZERO justification for all these ZOMG IT'S P2W threads, since Trion already told us months ago it was going to be that way.
Uhm... maybe the player made factions? Player made content? Why do people play chess? After all, when you know the movement of all those pieces and push them around for a month, THERE IS NO NEW CONTENT!! OMG!!!
You see, not everybody is a mere consumer. Some people actually know that playing a game is different from watching an interactive movie. True story.
Zzzz...come on. that $75 dollars worth of credits alpha players get cost them $150. Its also something anyone can get if they can afford it. This is a f2p game and whether anyone likes it or not, its still a business that needs to make a profit. Is getting into alpha and the rest of the stuff founders get worth $150? I guess it depends on who you ask. I don't believe anything in the cash shop makes this game p2w including those labor pots. The advantage cashers get is time. This is the same advantage a lot of f2p cash shops offer cashers.
edit: I was browsing the web and based on the RU version players were saying that purchasing game time was selling for roughly 600-1k gold and the average player could farm more than that fairly easy every month. How true this will be in NA servers is yet to be determined, but before players get all riled up I think posting on the official forums would do more justice than bashing the game in these forums. Unless your goal it to try and deter players from playing the game

You clearly didn't play the game with the CS. Everything in the game cost Labor and you are restricted a lot when you are a f2p player. The labor potion is op as fuck, you can get 12 000 labor a day if you pay with real cash compared to 5 000 each 2-3 days for normal players.
Everythign in this game cost labor, farming, gathering, crafting, opening armors/weapons and coinpurses. If you have infinete labor it's clear who's gonna have an insane advantage. I'm a Founder and I still will play the game but only until something better comes up.

You know that it only takes 1-2 days to be 50 right? With the CS item they are selling and with the Labor potion I probably can be 50 in less than 24 hours just with crafting and doing a couple of quest and you probably can do the same for the other classes when you hit 50, just switch classe and repeat.
Player made faction? For that you need a castle and the only guild who's gonna be able to get one is the zerg one. You need so many materials and gold that you need a shit ton of people to contribute otherwise you wont be able to have one. Player made content? Never heard that we can create content ourselves for AA, where's the editor?
The game is good but there's so many thing wrong with it that people will only play it until they find something else, it's not a game that you will play for years non stop.
By the way I can't wait for patch 1.7 and 2.0 , just saying.
now correct me if I'm wrong but don't they stop leveling once you hit 10? then you only level what ever active classes you are using?
I wouldn't worry not many will be playing this if they do it will be for a month max. My advice don't fret.
Maybe its just me but if someone can afford to open all the character slots and then spend about $24/day for labor pots I say let that man do his thang. Also, besides time what real advantage does a casher have? you speak as if there are a lot of gamers that are willing to spend $24/day for pots. Now I do believe there will be some players that do something like this if its not fixed before going live. However, I do think you're blowing it way out of proportion.
quick question: do you really think labor points is p2w?
if you answered yes, than do you understand what p2w really is? wartune is a good example of p2w and so are a lot of games in that aeria is partnered with. give them a look and see how what p2w really looks like.
edit: just read the forums and someone posted the cool down is now account wide and players are selling the labor pots for about 22 - 50 gold each (gotta love market place flippers).
edit 2: someone said recently the bug to use potions is still there.
