If you play AA what aspects of the game can you compare to other games?
From reading many things, this game looks like it's going to be alot of fun. And I have a fantsy for anything that is post-apacolyptic.
Edit: Ah crap. I forgot to list other on the poll. Oh well, just list it.

Ok. I'm gonna reply to my own thread now that I'm playing... I think it's pretty important at least.
1. Combat is alot like a mix between Twisted Metal and Eve, but more-so on the TM side.
2. Haven't got that far. Right now I'm just a healer, but it seems like it will be bland... maybe there is more too it when I get there, I dunno.
3. Dunno if crafting gives XP, but you gain levels instantly and there are also training. Alot like WoW so far.
4. Not there yet.
5. Skills are ALOT like WoW as there is a tree. I always liked WoW's skill tree system.
6. Twisted Metal almost 100%
7. Dunno.
This is a really WEIRD game. I dunno how to describe it. Lots of possibilities. But I think you're stuck w/ your first car... wich kinda sucks.
A Work in Progress.
Add Me
Shoulda put Earth and Beyond up there, it's a lot like that to me (that is, you being your ship in the combat areas and moving on a horizontal plane).
But I voted for WOW because of the continuous linking quests to guide you through the leveling.
lol...all those games on the list and you didn't put the one that is the most similar to AA.
City of Heroes with cars, except not as good (not that CoH is all that great to begin with).

Have to disagree. CoH is heavy instanciated. AA is far less from what i saw, there are a lot of quets in big open zones (much more like WoW). CoH is mainly PvE, AA is RvRvR much more like DAoC. AA has car customization & point/lock aiming system, same has in EvE whith ships.
Just one thing i wanted to clarify, you most definitely are *not* restricted to your first car in Auto Assault... not by a long shot.
Remember, cars are stored as Ignition Keys in your inventory. Ignition keys are 1x1 in size. Your inventory includes cargo bays on your vehicle and locker space in town, up to 16 bays of 78 slots each. Theoretically, a single character could therefore own up to 1248 additional vehicles besides his/her current ride, in our current inventory layout.
Here's a little teaser of just a few of the many player vehicles we haven't released yet:

On w00t Radio, the lead designer and the community rep were interviewed, and there are supposedly going to be at least 10 chassis per class per race, so at least 120 individual chassis. It's gonna take a while to put these all in.
It's hard to fight in a gazebo.
