FPS + MMORPG + PC = Aimbot farming hell. Think of ESO, but now also with Aimbots. No thanks.
I guess purists don't really like console FPS due to the aim assist inherit with the inaccuracy of the controls. As for cheaters, you will find them everywhere.
That been said, I can't think of a good PvE mmofps on either consoles or PCs right now. Planetside 2 does cover pretty well the PvP mmofps aspect on the PC, but that's it.

Personally, I like to play BF4 on PC with a X360 controller. It's hard, but when I switch to BF on console, it's like playing in God mode.
They can't launch on pc, because on pc you have to give the games away for free and tack on a nickel and dime cash shop that takes advantage of compulsive spenders to get your money back. [mod edit] Kudos to Bungie for having a backbone and steering clear of the pc culture that expects free games. I'm pre ordered for my ps4 already and so are ten other friends of mine. We can't wait.
Same opinion here, I'm not about to buy a new console just to play one game even if it looks this awesome. Oh well, it's really sad too because with their reported budget they really could of used that big pc gaming market to help them make up for that $500 million.
You don't need a new console to play the game, its designed to be played on the old ones. And its not so much an MMO either, but just another version of Titanfail. So not many players involved, probably because the game is designed for the old consoles.
When you put this game up alongside a F2P PC shooter like Planetside2 it doesnt really look all that good, that might be the reason why their not looking to put it on PC, too many games already that are better, there would always be unfavourable comparisons. Unfortunately for Bungie, Planetside 2 is also coming to the PS4, along with a bunch of other MMO's. Destiny probably would have done better if it was released 5 years ago.

Again stop spreading false information and bashing this game just because you can't play it on pc. You even compared it with Planetside 2. Oh god... Planetside 2 is a massive pvp game. But Destiny is an mmorpg with massive pve elements and lore. I do not understand why folks are trying to compare Destiny to games like Planetside 2....they are 2 different games. Personally, I am not a fan of Planetside 2, but I am happy others enjoy it so much.
I love the way Destiny is shaping up and I am quite excited. I have never owned a console and have been a PC gamer for years. While I will not buy a PS4 solely for Destiny, Destiny is the game that tipped me over the edge so that I will buy a PS4. If Destiny comes out on PC someday, I will be happy and will move over to the PC version. For now, I am excited and look forward to the July beta and September release. I may be disappointed in the end, but at least hoping and keeping an open mind is better than the consistent hate and negativity expressed by so many these days on certain sites. No game will ever be perfect. No game will please everyone. For me, Destiny looks like fun.

It will be fun gamemonger, I think for folks like you it's going to take some practice, but once you get the hang of it, invite some buds over and crush through couch co op all night, it's a great time. Pvp is usually one epic battle after another, and pve will allow you to challenge yourself in new ways, pvp Bungie is just pure fun. I remember having a house full of people on a weekly basis, match after match there would be fist bumping high fives trash talking, it was a great time. I think Destiny is going to bring some of that back.
