There are two types of players that are going to enjoy archeage's free limited beta experience.
1. The type that is new to MMOs,is amazed at every turn, and is looking for a game to call their own.
2. The type, like myself, that has seen games come and go for little over a decade now and is looking for something different but not TOO different. It is what they are used too, but more. They see the game for what it is.
The type of person that isn't going to enjoy this game will be those who have played MMOs but not necessarily enough to see what Archeage actually is beyond the questing and limited PvE. They will see it as more of the same, or if they make it to post-30; as forced PvP, and may find it difficult to work with other people to achieve things.
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
That's what i don't understand. People are hyping about how great and wonderful AA is but it is really no different that any other pvp game. High levels gank and kill lowbies and if they don't like it then GTFO. If one person can grief another, so much the better and if you don't like it then GTFO. Same mentality as any other pvp game. To me :
AA quests are boring
the community is toxic
it takes a god aweful long time to get mats to build a ship or house
if your ship gets destroy you start all over again.
insane amounts of griefing
You not only have to be a patron to place a house but also have to spend real money for the ingame currency to pay the taxes on it.
Not what I would call a good time. If other people like it then good for them. I can't wait to see the cheating, hacking, duping botting that will soon to follow as does just about every type of pvp game.
most questing is boring
haven't had any problem with the community.
built a ship and a house within a week in beta.
If your ship gets destroyed it does not go away. you can craft a piece to fix it.
there is some griefing.
and you dont have to spend real money to keep the house. you can buy some for real money, but there is no need as you can craft them without any mats. just labor points which you get for free.
I can kind of understand doing it for crafting or harvesting (don't agree with it or like it but whatever) but having to use labor points to open and identify loot is stupid and unnecessary. Full stop.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

And i agree, Trion is discussing with XL about labor points regen and usage. Time will tell.

The Deathmarch of pure torture.....
I did vet 1 to vet 5 and just coulnt do it anymore as it was one of the most boring elements i ever played in 15 years of mmo gaming.
Clunky combat and no eu servers + all those massive OP exploits in Cyrodilll sealed the deal, game over and never looked back.
Takes weeks for Zenimax to even fix a simple exploit, worste money i ever spend for a game.
I tought it coulnt get any worse then Warhammer but it seems Zenimax just took the crown away from Mythic.
Installed Skyrim after ESO again tough lol :P
