The event just went live and this time the infestation's on Tatooine. Ah, the nostalgia!

I suspect they're saving that one for when GSH is live, and that they went with a more "accessible" planet this time to make sure everyone can participate while they await new content.
Yeah, I think it'll only be for a week. They didn't say though, so who knows.

Well I return to check out the event oh what fun. I login to get rakghoul sickness as soon as I can move my character. I proceed to head to Tantooine and keep bending over in a fit of coughing which makes me unable to do anything while I'm doing this.
It was a 10 minute debuff so I decide to wait it out. Well guess what I get a new debuff and now I'm almost coughing non stop and can't do anything. I logged out soon there after because I pretty much had no control over my character anymore.
What is funny is you do a quest chain on Tarus and I was immune to this virus and now I'm not. I have to say this event blows and I'm back to FF14.
The med droids sell a vaccine that makes you immune for 6 hours. And the rep vendors sell relics that are reusable and do the same thing.
Don't worry about it. Oh, and it's a different strain than the one on Taris. I'm not sure if you've ever played the Rise of the Rakghouls flashpoints, but it ties into that storyline.

go find a med droid and buy yourself some rakghoul vaccine..
i had tons of fun today.. had some great pvp action and fought over world boss kills against other groups.. beats hanging around fleet waiting for queues to pop
I had fun once, it was terrible.
Thanks for the information. They really need to let people know this. I was moving about 5 feet max before bending over getting sick and that is not fun. When you say rep vendor I'm not sure what you talking about could you explain please. Any hint on where the med droids are located?
Is this a pvp event?
It's the standard med droids you find at every "respawn" spot/medcenter. They are also on the fleet. (they look like protocol/ship droids)
And yeah, they probably should tell people about that. Maybe adjust the intro mission and give you one vaccine for free along with the mention that you can get more from your friendly neighborhood med droid.
That virus really does cripple you with its short interval coughing fits.

Nope, it isn't. But it takes place in a shared area. So I bet there's some fierce fighting going on on the PvP servers.

Pick up the quest from the news terminal on the Fleet. That one will send you to a person right outside town in Tatooine, who will then send you deep into the dune sea.
The news terminals are located near the elevators and glow like other interactable objects.
