Current state of ESO?

0-3: Unplayable

4-5: Flawed

6-7: Getting better but not exactly there

8: Good

9: Great. Very good.

10: Nothing is wrong with it. Perfect game.

I'd give it a solid 8. The bugs are still there, but there is not many of them. Not to mention that the bugs you will find do not effect the game really so yeah thats good.

Good job zenimax, your making changes fast an im happy.

I am gonna go with a 8 too.

They have implemented tons of changes and fixed most bugs. They also listen to community feedback which is always a plus point.

Im gonna go with 7 for now, Update 4 might very well take it to 8.

    Id say 7-8.

Once the champion system is fully in, Im thinking around update 4-5 it might be a 9.

Its a 9 best mmo out there.

Any graphical, audio, or gameplay restrictions not seen in other mmos but found in FFXIV can be blamed on one thing.

Probably around 6, but it really depends on your taste.

Features that should have been at release are added now, RvR is gameplay-symetric (lol) still with no faction reward, levelling and crafting are ultra-solo oriented.

If you like modern MMOs, you'll enjoy it, if you don't like how the MMO industry has changed in the last 10 years, you'll probably not enjoy it.

I would say a 7 at launch, two months later an  8.

9 to 10 for me  From early access .   I played AA  WW and all mmo that release this year so I was not intreastead in any  and when I tried bashed ESO I was amazed how good that game is . And it will get better with recent ZOS decisions

Yes some quest were broken but I reached Vet 12  doing almost all quest  .  4 to 7 broken quest I faced in all game in all fraction together .

Would become  STRONG 10 if they  THEY ADD A NICE SPELL CRAFTING system  also maybe , house or Guild halls of honor would great as well   and other bull shit like this .

    What else hmm

EPIC quest with lost Legendary items from TES series but hard to get like in WOW for example .

More EPIC quest related to player decision

    8. It's a good game, and after the justice system, other guilds, and cyrodiil PvP dungeon get added it will easily be a 9. Probably one of the top 3 themeparks ever made and still around today in my opinion.

    Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
    Have played: You name it
If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.

7 for now, when they implement what they talked about at QuakeCon (and when they fix and stabilize that :P) than im thinking 8-9. So far there are some parts of the game that are simply broken imo (like veteran content) or lacking.
  • BelgaraathBelgaraath Member UncommonPosts: 3,205
At launch to me it was in the 7-8 range due to bugs and bots, now its a solid 8 IMO, dye system made it a little more fun too, so 8+ lol, once they implement the justice system, fix the guild issues and upcoming veteran changes, 8.5 or so, then continue making the dungeons larger and more diverse 9, then if they ever make the world just a little more dynamic..for example make the anchors more meaningful...9+ :-). Game is going in the right direction and after a one month break I'm addicted again :-).

For someone who played beta and didn't buy the game, since I hated the character animations (combat especially) and zergy Cyrodiil as only form of PVP, would you say that this game is worth looking into again? Did any of these elements improve since launch?

Just have a few quick question to see I should resub...

Have they balanced the classes to reasonable levels?  I know there will always be one class better, but has the gap closed?  When I left it was DK and then anyone with a stick and robe.  Has that changed at all?

Is NB (DW/Bow) a viable option for Trials?  When I left they started advertising no NB for group ads into AA.  Has that changed?  I don't want to hear "NB is totally viable.  LTP!"  I know it was viable (since they nerfed everything pve) but the gap between a NB and a person with stick and robe was pretty large.

Have they made stamina builds viable?  I suppose this is redundant (kind of), but figure I ask as I also played a two-handed templar.

    Thanks.

I'm going with an 8.  We need Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood and revamp of the veteran system to be finished before I bump my rating any higher.  And although I love playing the game, it won't get a 10 from me until they provide player housing.
