I would guess September. 1 or 2 more closed betas, a week of open. A few minor game bugs left to squash such as some skills will fall off hot bar between log ins. I think labor points regen may receive a final tweak. Loot tables need an increase in archeum drops at the lower levels.
Hoping Alpha will get a patch this week incorporating some of those changes.
Try and get a closed beta event key for the next one, and don't pass any judgement until level 30 at least. I only made it to level 10, but my friends showed me his level 50 and his house, farms, island boats, etc etc and I immediately bought into ALPHA.
Originally posted by Spankster77 I may just go for the founder pack so I can get in on the alpha. This is the most promising looking MMO in a while.
As a person who has been playing Alpha since day 1 - a few months ago I would have told you to go for it, but at this point it's better just to wait. This is unless you just want the credits, patron status, and other things that come with the pack itself. Alpha is pretty congested, and probably not worth diving into at the moment. lol

I would suggest waiting also. Sept/October would be my guess for when the game launches.

another wait vote. The cheapest Beta package might be worth it for the 4 day head start but otherwise I would spend 15 on a months patron. If there is something in the cash shop you just cannot live without drop 20 bucks for 2500 credits
If you are pretty sure you want to play it and it ain't going to hurt spending the money then buy it.
The more you learn from release the better.
If you are looking for a great server to play on Alpha ain't it though, too many people waiting on release have cut back on play times and the economy is messed up due to the different versions it has been through, Omega is messed up too due to the linked AH.
The 2 "Archeum Patron" servers (Alpha and Omega) are showing signs of strain at the moment. After every beta event, there's a new surge of players joining, and since CB2 there's been very noticeable lag almost constantly.
It's probably too late for them to justify opening another server just for Archeum players, so we have to hope that Trion can tweak the server performance. Hopefully this is a useful "stress test", at worst it will tell Trion what the server caps should be...
CB3 is starting next week, and Trion have said they will double the amount of beta keys from CB2 (as well as opening additional CB servers).

a steam sale for a free game?
Not realy a free game when it requires a subscription to unlock the real game.
More like a free trial.
Best part is that you are not required to buy the box at release for 60 euro, just 12 euro for a sub or download the free to play client and check it out if you like it.
Unlike other mmo that require you to pay 60 euro + 12 euro to even log in the game and if you dont like it you just waisted 72 euro for a crap mmo.
Wish more studio;s would do this instead of setting up a massive paywall to even try the mmo out before spending all that cash.
I hope it is in September, I've got multiple character on both Alpha and Omega, and while it's fun, the fact all progress will vanish come launch makes it feel a lot like playing poker for funzies.
I want my actions to "count" so I want live to get rolling soon.

I may do the $99 dollar pack because you get the game, 2 months patron status which is $30 worth of play time, plus a $50 store credit, and the cool armor :-)

You only get alpha access with the 150 pack. You'll get the closed betas but as far as "getting the game", it will be free at release.

Your money your call.
My advice, if you allow me, dont spend 150 bucks now befor you even know if you really like the game.
A little paciente, its almost out and then you can decide if worth your money

Steam says either September 16th or just September - depending on where you look

I hope it's not September, I got to go to Japan for a business trip..../cries!!!!
The Alpha and Omega servers are up 24/7, unless taken down for maintenance.

I want to go!
Steam has or had September as a release date, but Scapes said on the AA Forums if its not from Trion not to trust it.
Im still hoping for a September release!
I did my own math on this. To me, my opinion, Silver is worth it. the rest are not.
