The best ARPG of all time (hands down) will be getting another major kick of AWESOME. And its 100% free with absolutely no P2W items in the cash shop. Go figure.
"the Passive Skill Tree has been entirely reworked".
I really hope this means they're shaking things up in build variety. There was a bunch of builds I found to be a lot of fun but just did not prove viable on the highest difficulty.
I would say a lot of builds are viable, even at the end game, but they require a lot of work and investment. Gear supplements your builds quite heavily come the end game as such I have a couple of builds i am working on which simply wont work unless I have certain pieces of equipment. So, I play on my safe character and if I get something that works I add it to my other build characters. Works for me and I find it quite fun.
The last few times I wanted to return to poe for a little while, I was reminded why it is nicknamed math of exile. After researching new builds and the need to know tricks that You absolutely need to do to last past level 40, I just got so damn tiered and never even got to roll a character. It was fun in the beginning or when I had more time and some gear stacked, to be experimenting and theorycrafting new builds, but as poe grew so insanely complicated, we all know you need to do some real specific things and play a certain way and woupti, you get 20 times the power (not exxagerated).
I hope poe will try to fall back to a more balanced game where expert builds are not that much better and the fun of "just playing" returning... Once I almost returned to d3 out of sheer frustration, atleast everything doesn't change radically every patch.. Yeah I know, shame on me haha.

One of the things that really holds this game back I find is that it is so gear dependent yet the player trade system is as bad as it could possibly be. Spamming chat or watching endless chat is about the worst possible way to trade gear and it's all this game has had now since launch.
The endless stories of people getting ripped off because they didn't know what something was worth sounds funny to the more hard core players but I think most people only put up with so much before just giving up on it and doing something else. That or just giving up because they can't find or afford they key items they need for a build. I know I'm more in the latter of the two.

This was similar to my experience as well. Ironically I did go back to D3 and I have no issues doing so. My reason is while D# has its issues, I know exactly where I stand, and can do anything in game fairly easily. There isn't guess work or overly complicated theory crafting. I don't mind it at all honestly but I don't have the time to put into that is really needed, and for someone like me, I just want to play the game.
really PoE is great and I played it about 10 months ago but friggin DE-SYNC just killed too many hardcore chars i had and in merciless mode just wiped my ass.
This guy -> Xingbairong is really weird and talking such a nonsense althought he should know as PoE player that de-sync was/is the main reason why tens of thousands players left. The official forums(still are?) were full of it like half a year ago. Now there are those who ve never been affected by this issue while others had it every 1-2 minutes showing up.
I ve patched the game when SoV came out just to find out that nothing has changed regrding desynchronisation
I may admit that D3 is a game of higher quality than PoE, but PoE gives me a feeling that D3 cant. Only D2 compares with PoE imho.
My one and only issue with PoE is Desync. If only they fix this...
For me Diablo 3 died when they removed trading, I love to just be able to create my forum store and sell the things I have spent so much of my time farming in Path of Exile.
Master of the Dead has been in the game since the outset, his name is D-sync.
While D-sync doesn't matter for the arcade gamers that play standard or standard leagues it is and always has been a game breaking experience for the hardcore players.
There are lots and lots of youtube / twitch tv videos that show the d-syncing of your avatar to the game engine and the death that always follows, it really is bad.
Anyway for a f2p game it is still lots of fun.
Desync is there for a reason. If GGG wanted to remove it they can do that in 5 minutes. The reason this game isn't swarming with bots like Diablo 3 is because of that.
LOL. Desync as feature to fight bots. You should get a job in marketing What a load of bs, creative though

new class?
What's the point for creating new class in this game? Unless they create new kind of attribute points(LUK?)
