Amazon.co.uk Pre-Order

FangmanFangman Member UncommonPosts: 26

Hey all,

I live in the UK and looking to pre-order RF Online and hopefully get into the beta.

I found Amazon.co.uk do a "preorder" pack which it says is pretty much free. What i want to know, has anyone ordered from Amazon and got a beta key. I've heard stories with Amazon messing around with pre-orders with other games, and i just want to be sure.

Cheers

I'm from the U.K. too, I dont really know about Amazon.co.uk, but I now have a beta key cause I went into my local GAME store and paid £2 for a preorder box. You also get an exciting soundtrack CD and some stickers (ok, so exiciting is not really the word.)

As for the game itself, I've ordered it from Play.com, the listing is
    here

They only send out Beta keys once a week and unless they send it Monday, you will be missing valuable Beta moments ::::05:: but I trust them not to mess you about.

    Hope that helps.

If you want your key right away, then pre-order from EBgames.com.  Your key will come with your order confirmation. image

Play.com and GameStop.com both have weekly pushes for their keys.  I know GameStop's key delivery is every Thursday.  Not sure about Play.com.

    Hey,

Thanks for the responses. Seems Play.com seem to be more solid on the beta keys, and it's the same price as Amazon. I'll probably end up ordering from them.

I've just received my pre-order box from Amazon.co.uk and it comes with a beta key in the box along with the cards, stickers and soundtrack CD.

Fantastic, just what i wanted to hear. I have some books i want to order off Amazon, so if i can get everything i want into one delivery, makes it all the easier.

One thing to point out, a strange situation this, is that you have to buy the RF Online @ £17.99 and also the RF Online Pre-Order pack @ £26.99 at the same time. You'll then get the retail at £17.99 and the pre-order will be sent out. Obviously you need to specify dispatch at seperate times rather than at once or you don't get the pre-order until retail release.

I reckon I've been done as Amazon didn't specify this as I ordered the pre-order at £26.99 and I'm not getting the £17.99 price on the retail pack. ::::12::
