Finally tried this game...

BACONXBACONX Member UncommonPosts: 253

...and I really like it! Granted I'm only a few days in and yes, I'm a subscriber but so far it has been fun. All I can say is, if you never tried it- why not? I just left Wildstar and this one will definitely fill the time in. I'm also surprised by how many people are in the starter areas. I wish I had picked this up sooner.

Nice story driven leveling if you're subscribing. Play till 50 on a few toons you like the story of. That should keep you busy for a while. After that, well you'll see it when you get there.

I tried this for the first time about a week ago, I kept having massive invisible wall issues that I couldnt even do a quest so it was a first for me to quit a game that early.

Is that a normal issue cause the ppl in chat said it always happens.

It's not a normal issue at all.

If I were to guess I'd say it's a graphical card issue, or an extreme case of lag.

Invisible walls, not afaik although there are exhaustion zones that if you stay in, will eventually kill you, tatooine has them for instance, not sure about actual walls though, perhaps if you explained where it occurred? image

I have been having fun with housing on the PTS. It's a lot more robust than people make it out to be, and they can get pretty huge when unlocking rooms. Housing here seems to be better than what you get in most mmos, not to mention you can put npcs in your house. This actually gives me a reason to do all of those dailies now, since I am not into raiding in this game. However if people used raid finder like they do in WoW, I probably would raid here. Other than that, the end game is the same as you will find in any other mmo. Don't know where people are getting this there is nothing to do at end game, because there is plenty to keep you busy. Not to mention the in game events that takes place from time to time.

I only messed with it briefly on PTS, but I liked what I saw enough to make me look forward to today even more than I did before.

Once the servers come up after today's patch it's straight to Nar Shaddaa for me, since I only explored the Dromund Kaas stronghold a bit on PTS.

    Welcome to SWTOR:)

I took a day off work today and I am going straight to Dromund Kaas. Unlocking everything, distributing rooms among my sith fellows, hope they won't fight for rooms as it can get messy.

After that I am going to go to Nar Shaddaa and get my free apartment there. Set my agents there, they are more civil so I do not expect much blood on the floor.

After that I will go to Tatooine to get my Bounty Hunters place.

Coruscant is the last place I will go, I will pack all my rep toons there.... probably in one room for a starter LOL.....

Then I will start to figure out what I have to do to get items i want to have... sigh... seems I am going to get busy for a lifetime.

There's no way I'm getting to decorate all of them today. Though I'll also be grabbing them.

I already saw some decorations that I want (blaster turrets to give invaders a warm welcome), but apparently I'll have to revisit the Collicoid Wargames flashpoint to do that.

Something tells me that the groupfinder is going to get very busy, very quickly. image

My guild is already planning on revisiting all the FPs and OPs. I have to get all schematics for my crafters and get to work on them as well.

    Thanks for the patchnotes!

I was actually running around the fleet looking for a Conquest "mission" until I read that they're automatically inside your log lol.

I must say I like how many ways there are to advance the conquests, it reminds me a lot of GW2's daily and monthly rewards.

When I used to play this on my old laptop i kind of had a problem like this.  I would load into the Fleet and I would start to run but then stop because not everything was loaded.    So if its the same thing that i had its a graphics card problem.
