I work away from home every second week and I don't have access to games when I'm away. Naturally, the closed betas have always fallen on my weeks away. Was beginning to think I'd never get to play this before launch.
Wahoo! Now I can go forth with this week and have something to look forward to come the weekend! Sunday was a seriously depressing night to be playing not knowing when I'd be able to log back in

I think they are ramping up for that September release that quite a few posters here have said in the past. With Warlords of Draenor coming out in November no company (not just XL Games) in their right mind would release their title during the month of a Blizzard title... or one month before/after said month.
Originally posted by MagikrorriM I was watching an alpha stream, someone mentioned there was an 8 GB patch being downloaded yesterday.
Yeah, it's an 8Gb patch, but 99.9% of that is the current game code in a new compression format which will make future downloads smaller and less prone to corrupted data.
The biggest changes for CB4 are the German and French translations and I've noticed that a few items have been renamed and their descriptions have been cleaned-up. So gameplay-wise, basically nothing has changed between CB3 and CB4.
I expect the game to launch with the CB4 version, it simply takes too long for Trion to raise issues with XL, then have them discuss those requests with the other publishers, then decide what they will change, then make the changes, test them and deliver them to Trion. Another cycle like that after CB4 and AA won't launch in NA/EU before 2015...
Kind of scary to think they might go live in less than a month but I'm seeing Patron status expiration dates that are 1, 2 or 3 months out from 9/13/2014. If that's what it means, this is likely the last closed beta event and the game will have a very short open beta before launch.

That patron status expiration date is random. Mine expired on August 18th lol.

The patron expiry dates are meaningless, everyone has a different one.
But I expect Trion will announce the launch date next week (right after CB4)...
From what I understand, patron status begins at release. If you're a founder, the 4 day early access includes free patron status for the duration of early access.

I would agree. Safe money definately suggests this is the last CB. And as Jaedor suggests, OB will be short... I expect no more than what they've been doing for the CBs, about 4-5 days longs. Realistically they don't want to have a long OB since that is fundamentally used for the final stress test of the servers, not much more. And 4-5 days is plenty of time for people to get in, level a little, look around, and get a general feel of the game.

Not sure I agree. Open betas usually last about a month, don't they? It's not a simple test of the servers, it's also fixing some of the things that have come up in closed betas, waiting for a high number of people to reach towards the end of the game and to see what bugs arise from that. I think we're a ways out, yet.
How is everyone patching, why can't I patch. it keeps saying "You don't have the right of entitlement to play this game (error# 2028)" Why is that I mean I got a key, I got 2 keys to be exact. I was in the last beta but I got 2 keys to cb4

They have Alpha for testing endgame stuff. Most players on Alpha, and there are quite a few, have been there for many many months and are endgame levels for a while now. Alpha is also 1 patch ahead of the CB servers. The only really big thing they are waiting on now is for XL games to get the LP system changes to them before launch if any changes are to be made (hopefully yes). Any other big changes will come after launch.

The date on Steam is looking more and more solid.
It could end up being CB4 next weekend, open beta weekend a week or 2 later and then launch !
It can only mean that they have the next patch ready and want to get it out for testing.
CB3 was prolly a little to soon to get this patch installed.
CB4 might be the last "big" patch before release / open beta and this also means that the game is ready.
September release 100% fo sho !
You are just guessing here. What proof do you have they are not selling more Founders Packs?
Look at Steam sales.
none of the giveaways have begun yet, but you can refresh the page at the giveaway sites...
