Trion acc. hacked /game purchased (archeum pack)

Hi guys wanted to give a heads up .

My trion account got hacked and as it looks like the paypal password is saved on theyre site so anyone who gets into ure trion account can get on a bying spree and it was me that got screwed hehe.Today someone hacked my account and bought the archeum pack :/.

Since its been long time that i looged into trion i didnt know about paypal i own the gold pack archage on steam thou.

I hope they give me my money back without baning my account since this would be bad.

Anyone had a similar sitation like me with trion and could tell me how this will end ?

    Yeah I had a couple e-mails saying that I attempted to buy the pack.  I guess I was hacked and it's trying to buy them with an old bank account I had back when I played Rift.

    Pretty disturbing that all I did was play a closed beta and I'm already hacked.

    OP Sorry to hear you have had this happen. Make sure to go to your paypal account and look at the pre-approved payment section. Make sure it says inactive/canceled For Trion. If not it is sitting ready to be used.

    Verry importand since thats how this happend to the guy.

    I got "burned" with somthing like that so i allways look after payment.

    And yes somehow trion truned my 44 euro founders pack into a "we can grab your money every time we want" thingy.

    Now that would have been valid for a 12$ amonth patron status or so, but on a founders pack ?

    I Canceled that right away, i got no CLUE why those idiots made buying a founders pack into a pre-aproved payment.

     

    Since anyone that (never gonna happen) hacks my AA account.

    Can buy everything he wants without logging into paypall and still my paypall gets charged.

    You ever shop at WalMart.com? They were hacked... last year or two? Target.com or Target stores? Yep, they were also hacked in the past year... it made the news.

     

    You use the same password for those sites and Trion's site? Bet ya do! Guess what? Now you're hacked! It's a simple fix - change your password.

    I got hacked and an archium gift package got bought on my account. I don't care much about the fact that i was hacked, my account with Trion is all the way back from rift so it was really only a matter of time, but the fact that they can accept an 150$ purchace simply because i have it connected to my paypal account on it i think is crazy, if it was below 15$ i could understand that they don't need my auth code for paypal, but when it's 150$ it really should ask for my code or some information.

    Trion support were nice tho and quickly refunded me my money, but Trion does not get to keep my paypal information. Also added the rift app to my phone.

    i deleted my default payment from pretty much every website that allowed it.

    yes deleted all your paypal info on websites

    Never use your creditcard on the internet..

     

    I dont understand why paypal let third party companies make access to there transactions..

    I use pre-paid visa's for gaming not my real CC. Just some sage like wisdom for those with less whit.
