I think we are getting angry at the wrong aspect. Whether you sub or not is not the real issue since really you can just family or guild up with a subbed member and use their stuff and the only other difference I see is the amount of LP you gain over time. Where we are going to see issues is the cash shop offering things that could be crafted such as fuel for the vehicles. I have seen a few posts linking these and in my opinion anything that allows someone to go into the cash shop and buy an item that another player has to specialize to craft will cause more and more people to just bypass the crafter aspect to get the shiny toy or fuel. This has the potential to devalue crafted items if people can just bypass them and pay for them instead with real currency. Thoughts?

if that is true then yes that is something that we need to bring to light. I have beta tested it all 4 cbt's and i haven't seen fuel in the cash shop but i also wasnt looking for it. anyone that can confirm this is in game?

LOL, clearly you have been on a strict diet before... that's exactly what you do when you are denied eating one.
It makes me sick when people try to break down the cost of renting MMO game time to watching a movie etc. A movie provides seating and air conditioning and bathrooms etc for the cost. A game does not. A game requires you to buy 1000usd+ worth of hardware plus an internet subscription on top of that. This comparison is just wrong. The only way paying monthly for a game you already bought is acceptable is if they're continuously adding more story and expanding the universe to provide more depth to the game. Most of these MMOs do not do that. They simply add more timesinks and regurgitate textures and assets into "new" spaces to do the same thing you've already been doing. They're trying to coast on cruise control for as long as they can make easy money. In short, they're doing it all wrong but they can't stop because people/kids are so naive they'll pay for it. They've got you all by the throat. The simple fact is the MMO genre is degenerated into garbage and it's not going to change till people demand it changes.
I differ in opinion. To me, a game is worth a sub if I still enjoy playing it. I tend to take my time in MMOs; it usually takes a while for me to hit top level. When I do, I ask myself if I am still having fun. If yes, I tend to continue subbing.
That being said, the game experience has to justify an ongoing price.

I guess it's a fair analogy then since going to a movie (for most people) requires a car, gas to get there, clothing (unless it's a clothing optional theater).
I also think you're missing a very important reality. It isn't that most people are just stupid and haven't grasped the concept of complaining loudly until they get what they want. Instead, most people enjoy the games for a few weeks or months and then move on. Most of us don't expect to play an ever evolving game for 20 years. Don't get me wrong, I miss those days and the many years in UO or EQ, but I enjoy the games I subscribe to or else I wouldn't subscribe. When I'm done enjoying, I move on to something new.
Maybe one day someone will make something "better", but I have many hours of enjoyment playing the games I play. I'm not jaded and don't feel cheated and I'd imagine that most people feel this way. I could be wrong, but I'd prefer to think that with so many people gaming that they must be enjoying themselves and getting their money's worth because believing that it's all trash and we're all too stupid to do anything about it is just too depressing.
