i was just curious if anyone else besides me was getting mysterious charge attempts on their CC by trion?

i used my CC for their other games a long time ago and thought nothing of it untill last week when they tried 6 times to charge me for a founders pack for Archage.. luckily my visa is only a debit so if i do not have the cash in my bank then i cannot be charged for anything..once i realized they were trying to scam me i deleted my CC from their system..

    Yep, I had 3 attemps in a row 2 days ago and 1 other while the beta was going on.

    First of all its not trion,some one just hacked your account and used your billing adress.  i advise you change passwords,remove billing information>ect.

    Secondly alot of players have reported these kind of things

    Dont blame trion,you are the one that needs to keep your infomation safe.

    (Dont use same passwords for email and your gaming account)

    (Dont grab beta keys from unknown sites where they require you to register)

    Get a viruse check or even better,format your computer. you can never be to safe.

    Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

    Actually it's worse when you are using a debit card because that means that if they use it, you actually lose money. With a credit card, you can do a chargeback and because you have to pay 20-50 days later you don't actually lose any money :)

    I would strongly advise using credit cards for online purchases :)

    I strongly advise against, and advise pre-paid cards or paypal.

    Paypal works too. Prepaid cards are too much of a nuisance ;D But debit cards are the worst to use as they offer the least protection.
