yes it will all be there.
There will be persistent and player buildable stations to fight over and defend.
Also there will be persistent ships like the Bengal Carriers (largest fleet ships in game) to take over for very large player groups .
all the epic fun going on in lawless space and in the future also in procedurally generated star systems and on planet surfaces to continue the space battle on foot in FPS mode.
Player looting yes, even ship boarding and stealing a player´s ship.
Also permadeath at a certain point your next of kin will inherit your stuff.
I think only what the player carries can be looted, not his personal inventory, not clothes, but you might want to look into the boarding mechanics a bit more. Didn´t find the article but you might want to search on the STar Citizen site com-link archive.
Ships and ship parts can be salvaged/stolen as pointed out in the Wikia
They're saying 50-70 now. But it will also depend on hardware, I think. Even if the netcode has no problems handling 70 players in the same instance, it also needs to run at a reasonable framerate on reasonable specs. The more ship mo
Just a note, they plan for 70-100 players per instance... so don't expect huge battles like in EvE.
This will happen much much later in development since they're still struggling with the 6v6 networking.
that is because of the limitations of 32 bit programming with single precision floating point calculations. the current build of Arena Commander is still using 32 bit and single precision.
the conversion to 64 bit programming along with double precision floating point calculations is what will allow for a massive scaling increase ( 10 kilometers cubed will become millions of kilometers cubed ) and the player / ship count per instance will go up as well.

That helps with the engine's limitations of making small spaces, not with the networking.

Next to no territory control, just some ships and stations, but not areas. Limited player looting.
