I'm not a big fan of MMORPG.
I don't know why, since I am in love with the idea of it. I love the fact you can have a small virtual life in a fantasy/etc world apart from your real life and enjoy meeting friends and playing with them in that world.
However, one thing I hate is that you have to mindlessly grind. You literally go around killing monsters and I guess I don't like the combat system in MMORPGs
Now, I know many of you will disagree, but I'm hoping there are people who think like me or is at least interested in hearing me out.
I want to make a PvP MMORPG with fast paced, skill/mechanic based, reaction time required combat system. I was thinking of League of Legends or DotA styled combat system where auto attacks and moving is done with targetting and skills are cobination of targeting and skill shots.
I want to make it so that all players, especially squish(ranged DPS, etc) will die very easily if you get hit by a spell. There will be skill of your own that will help you dodge or mitigate the damage, but requires reaction time to do so. So it will be an intense battle of reaction time, and mechanics.
Of course, the mobs in the game will have to be overpowered so they can easily kill the players, forcing the players to kite and make the best use of their skills to kill them.
I want each and every battle to be fun and intense.

However, if you really have your heart set on making the game as state din your post, you should also post what talents/skills you are bringing to the team. That will go a long way toward getting people to join you.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein
