First of all, i just have to say that I am quite tired.. Tired of trying to play this game..
Iv'e tried all supports from all kind of forums and nothing is working for me.
The game starts and everything. But then it freezes my pc and then the "famous" reboot..
I dont wanna blaim trion/glyph or whatever is the reason this affects so many but it has to be fixed.
It's these sort of things that the beta versions is for and it's soon past OB and preparing for launch.
I really like this game and im going to play it. I will probably pay for it too.
But at this time i wont even try this game out anymore. Im reprogramming my entire pc for just this game. Normally it should work like "plug and play". I even read at Archeage's official forum that a guy got his computer broken for trying this game. It went black and couldn't boot it anymore. Sad.. so sad...
And alot of people bought new cpu, gpu and stuff. No change there..
And as for myself bought some new fans and cooling systems that is top notch. Allthough i wanted new anyway. :P but still no change here.
I just wanna ask polite if you who reads this also have the similar issue and please write /text your harware, like CPU, GPU, POWER supply and harddrive here so we can figure some things out.
Don´t bother to tell my to vacume my pc and/or change some settings or buy new harware.
The performance on my pc should cover next year aswell

It's usually hackshield thats the problem so i would advise you to uninstall or disable all your unusual software like:

Might help if you state a little about your system, like graphics card, drivers, et al. Because right now, you're asking for people to find a needle in a haystack.
Sorry. But dont think it mather. The support of archeage told me it's "fine" so..
But anyways here you go:

Your system and mine are very similar except you got 8 gb more ram. So you can ignore your system since it is way above the requirement. I disabled hackshield too and it solved majority of my problems too.
First guess is that you have a corrupted install. Download the latest version. Install. If issue persists, uninstall first then reinstall. If still persists, delete old Firefox profile and create a new one without any addons working. If still persists, look to their forums.
How did you disable hackshield? Did you delete the asc folder?

I dont use firefox, and it should however not cause blackouts to my pc. Reinstall the game? Kidding me? It's like these questions from the broadband support: "Have you tried to unplug and replug the power to your router?" It's like the first thing you tries. Done it like 4 times. I have looked at their forums if you read my post..

I have some similar issues. Computer randomly reboots and flickering landscape, usually distant ones. Haven't even logged in for open beta because I don't want to damage my pc.
It would've been nice to see a list of technical issues fixed in the patch notes, but nothing. I don't even care about labor crap I just want to be able to play.
hey OP^^
Im using a similar system, but a 560gtx and 8GB Kingston1866.
To make the system run well, i had to make tweaks in bios, adjusting the ram speed and cpu clock.
ummm
ok, i'd do this
- undusting as you said is done, also the gfx fan is running.
I have to undust nearly every 3 months and my tower case is open to get rid of the heat, else my pc would overheat, even with watercooling. when the game is running, my cpu gets 60°C without dust, 70°C and more after some months. The gfx temperature is pretty high as well. The 8150 is a nuklear reactor ^^
- checking core installation for issues
you windows is top notch, you use latest drivers, you went regulary thru your installed software list, cheking for hostiles.
A HDD check cannot hurt, maybe your HDD has a scratch ? Exclude it with a check.
Your Antivirus should be ok if you can load the game, play it until it crashes and reboots your pc.
Btw ... how long after you logged in, does the crash appear ?
Try removing one of your memories to get down to 8GB, if it still happens, change the memories and try again to exclude memory errors.
- the game
you set it to dx11 ? You describtion is like the problem i had on dx9, now when it happens with dx11, the engine recovers after a freeze of some seconds. Check your gameoptions - if you can ^^ - for your gfx setup and go for lowest to check if it matters.
I noticed, that the auto-defrag tool is not working in win7, when i manually defragged my HDD's, i noticed 40% fragmentation.
Not that it matters for the game, but it matters for accesstimes, except you have a SSD. I have windows and AA on a SSD.
good luck tho^^
I think thats the case with 90% of the people who have issues running the game.
Its not a Hackshield problem, its shitty software on the peoples computers problem.
When my 12yo son had my PC once for a weekend when we went out, i had the whole theatre of lousy trashwarez on my PC, by installing Garries Mod, Minecraft mods and the like.
Its not a Hackshield issue, its too often an issue of people are not able to operate a PC ^^
+1
Peeps come to be with "Computer" problems.
When i sit behind their PC i see like 90020202920920292 icons on the task bar.
2873423746 programms, addvert prog, browser bars, clocks bells videocard temp meters, calenders, news streams, full aero on with moving rotating backgrounds for crappy cars.
Drivers and utilety's for 900 printers they once owned and trew out since the cardridge was empthy.
Some kind of torrent peer networking thing thats still uploading lord knows what to who knows who.
Not to mention the addware and bloatware they got after installing that "amazing" background they downloaded as an EXE file.
On an AMD Phenom2 x4 945 with 4Gb of mem with an onboard videocard.
Hackshield could actually tell you that there is a problem and what it is, I don't think that is too much to ask for.
It is true that people tend to get a lot of crap on their computers but the program in question could actually help them to figure out the problem, not just bluescreen or reboot.
It is not good if a game besides demanding that you have a good PC and can play the game well also forces you to be good with PCs, you and I know both most people aren't and that will limit the potential players as much as forcing everyone to have a state of the art computer or even more.
And, no. I never had any hackshield issues myself but I still think the dang thing could tell you what the problem is.
Yeah i know about this aswell. Alot of peps have some shitty software and some really baaaad and interfering malware protection that sucks for gaming. But im affortently not one of those "people" who cant operate my own pc. I have some programs installed that i was worried about. Like deamon tools. But thats long gone but still no change. Im using some high knowned virus protection but i know how to turn files/programs into exeptions.

I tried to reinstall on my SSD aswell. Still freezes. Allthough there is some copy shit going on when you reinstall the game. Maybe the game stuck into the old harddrive with some files that was interfering. (UPDATING ON THIS POST) ****
* No it did not change anything. and no i cant log in anymore haha well il better try when launch is here.
My problem seems that i got overheated GPU or something. Buying a couple of fans tomorrow and a new GPU. problem solved.. ( I hope)

I can play around 5-10 min then it crashes. Sometimes bluescreen (Never got BSOD before on this pc) and sometimes just a reboot. Im currently using directx 9 on the ingame settings. But normally dx11.. Got the latest Directx driver. the support told me to try direct9 so. Ive adjusted everything in my bios for this game. Tried it since like CB4 and now on OB. But i think one problem i can have is that my ram got tweaked since i installed a new CPU fan. They are so got damn close since my fan's took reallly huge space.. (http://www.endpcnoise.com/e/images/NH_U9B_SE2_front_bottom_view.jpg) <-My old one.
But it is probably fine since everything else runs okay.

Could probably be true about overheated GPU. im using an GTX670. maybe there is some known good fans for em?
Im just using the side fan for the gpu and out on top. It's not that hot in stress test. Im using dx9 already.
Even though i dont have a gpu block on. wich probably is to use, The game should not really cause overheat. It's probably just bad textures combined with some other stuff that need to be worked on. I can max the most game out still and its not the newiest card out there anymore :P

I had a simiar symptom on my desktop some time ago, even on my laptop, runs fine till I would play a graphic intensive game. Replaced gpu and never had an issue since.

Might be my gpu. it has one really quite standard superfan connected but it doesn't seems to cool like it use to. allthough ive changed some stuff inside and maybe im just buying a new gpu instead.
Anyone got tip and recomendations on a good card for about 100-300$ ~?

I used to have this issue and I have found that my GPU would go into overdrive just before getting kicked and then my PC would have an aneurysm. My frames would continue to climb from 80fps>90fps>105fps then it would freak out.
So what I did was set a Frame Target Rate for my GPU with EVGA PrecisionX software to 60 fps since my monitor is at 60hz. Ever since then if have hardly ever witnessed a crash. Try setting a frame limit with your GPU manufacturer software.
