That brings up a point... Does the media have a responisiblity to pass on reliable information that we can trust or do we just allevaite all responisibility from the media and just sift through all the crap ourselves and blame no one but ourselves for beleiving the info?
Im leaning toward blaming the media at least in part for reporting false information. There's got to be some culpability on both sides IMO
Prizes have a value of $23.97. These prizes are to be awarded by Cyber Creations Inc. (herein known as "CCI") which is the parent company of MMORPG.COM. Prizes are not transferable. Any taxes, duty or extra fees are the responsibility of the winner. All prizes are awarded "AS IS" and without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, except as provided by the manufacturer. In the event a prize is not available CCI will replace it with another prize of equal or greater value. No replacements will be made for non-value items (ie beta accounts).
The bolded parts are interesting if the servers are shut down I wonder what will get worth 24$

I tried the beta and i thought the game was cute but wasn't my cup of tea. Boo-urns to those that followed this game.
The world is not out to get you Mr. Casual. Stop working in RL and put some hours in the game like the rest of us. What's that? Your time in RL is more VALUABLE. Nuff Said.
I don't understand what site that is, they say legend of mir is going down as well and that IIRC isn't a gravity game (creator's of ROSE). Is that some service from another country maybe? The official site seems fine http://www.roseonlinegame.com/
unless the contest wasn't for this version then I'm stumped.
I had a huge emotional investment in this. Ugh, my life's over now. F**k. Now all I have left to do is work until I die.
I say, to help easy the pain of losing this... 'prize', we get this month's contest prize instead. You know, that Shuttle XPC? Yeah... that might make up for it.

Errr wrong ROSE version. Thats mROSE, or BrazilROSE since the company is also hosting Legend of Mir. NA ROSE has been in commercial since December; and its still running strong since thier main investor is a multi-billion dollar company.
Quality Game Online started off with Mir3
They then joined with another company (although this was disputed) to form GamesRouter
They then hosted eROSE [european]
Now they have turned their servers off
GamesRouter and eROSE both have their websites running but both of their forums will direct you to www.qualitygo.com where you can read their message
I have contacted MMORPG and they have said that they first intend to find out what is happening with the game and if in deed it will not be possible for them to issue the prize they said they WILL look for an alternative, possible accounts on the North American servers.
The game sucks anyways - consider yourselves luck you did win and now can't play. It will save you what was it? 6 months of grinding with NO quests after level 20 so from level 20 on all you do is kill monsters and get zuly (money) and EQ booooooooorrrrrriiiiiiinnnnnnnggggg
The nerfed the version that was fun and gave us a crap alpha version that is extremely hackable so all you have is level 160 players cheating zzzzzz
any how consider your selves luck and find a fun game that actually has content, after all it seems the only way Rose can get players is to give 100 accounts away
I geuss they will cancel their 1 million dollar/euro/pound tournament as well then (yes, EuROSE has a 1 million tournament as well)
