ArcheAge Version 1.2 Build 4.8: Patch Notes
GAMEPLAY
* The drop rate of loot bags from monsters has significantly increased.
* The drop rate of Sunlight Archeum, Moonlight Archeum, and Starlight Archeum from loot bags has been greatly increased.
* The chance of equipment from loot bags has increased from monsters. These items can be salvaged to gain archeum.
* The Solid Shaft recipe is available again, allowing for the construction of fishing boats.
INTERFACE
* The Auction House can now be searched using German and French.
MARKETPLACE
* The Marketplace inventory has been reorganized in terms of Featured Items and categorization of consumables.
* The Additional Character Slot item has been added. Accounts may have a maximum of six character slots per region but a limit of four character slots per server.
* The Workman's Compensation labor potion has been returned to 12-hour cooldown and price of 300 Credits.
* The Auction House License permitting non-Patrons to create Auction House listings has been added. It is not tradable.
OTHER
* The priority server login queue for Patrons is now even faster.
COMING SOON
* Cosmetic Costumes: A future build will remove the stats from all costumes that are obtained or crafted in-game, much like stats were removed from costumes on the Marketplace. Similar to the normalization of mount speeds, this change is to prevent power creep and stat inflation while also promoting costume choice and preventing "best" items to be wearing to maximize your character's gameplay.
* Improved Anti-Spam: XLGAMES is delivering a way for us to integrate our internally-developed anti-spam technology which learns over time and then kills spam and spammers before you see either even once. Expect more details on this to be announced next week.
What do you guys think??

Free players couldn't sell on auction house before so that is a good change for them
Well you may be correct, they didn't do so well in Korea with patch 1.2. At least archeum drops will better.
Something positive, I'm shocked :O
Don't worry, some1 will find something to complain about on this patch.
Looks good. XL listened, Trion probably put up a good reason behind the changes.

This is great news, while not perfect, it is defiantly a step in the right direction.
what an odd thing to say.
1, you dont' have to do them at all and therefore you can choose to just do the "main story and crafting quests"
2, there are people who would counter and say remove all quests "especially main story line.

There is a god. The P2W is back to normal levels.
I read one of Scott Hartsman's comments on Reddit, Trion really only has the power of negotiation with XLGames. If they didn't put the archeum in the cash shop, there still would only be what dropped in game. I do believe that, I think Trion was put in a very tough spot there.
I thank TRION for putting their foot down and the community for constructively and actively protesting archeum drop rates!
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
This.
Please, come again?
as the game is f2p and patron costs 15 bucks... why would one buy the headstart (today) ?
They are bitching about the removal of stats from costumes over in the forums. I personally don't have a problem with it, a costume should be a decoration not a stat increase
You get 20 bucks worth of credits with the silver pack, and it comes with patron, so headstart basically costs 15 bucks.
I ended up buying the pack. If you want to be on one of the initial servers, you'll want to get in asap so you can make sure to stake out a claim for land. And it's probably a good idea to be on the initial servers to avoid any future mergers as they've been shown to maintain the most population.
Plus you get to play it 4 days earlier
I have played without doing any quests at all.. It was pretty lonely and slow. However the world and enemy placement really doesnt lend itself to that type of play.
The main story line is needed considering what they give for completing them not because they are good. I wouldnt mind if they were gone too if they moved the rewards.
The drop rate is greatly increased? During the original Alpha the drop rate meant if you were doing quests below your level the drop rate was almost non exisitant. During Beta I never saw any loot besides the minscule silver and copper coin.
During the last beta I saw only five shards which became 1 dust whilst using evenstones on old armor. I quit at that point(level10) I never saw any other loot other than the purse's
They took out the waterlogged bags and the chests from fishing - Are they going to put them back in?
I hope they change the cash shop a very great amount - The only chests worth getting are from the Loyalty shop. The archeum chests are a joke that gave 3 dust, and the housewarming chests would give crystals(chance of) and useless food or other boosts.
