I wouldn't play ESO with friends. With the mega server its a pain in the butt to group ( can be done but it blows ).

I like Vanilla WoW for playing with friends, its very user friendly. As far as Wildstar, I couldn't get past the bata, with its obnoxious game play, and two second quest....Run here...run their quest, how can you play with friends like that ?

    Aion? Or ArcheAge next tuesday?

Both are pretty similar to TERA and LA2 (Lineage 2 I assume?) when it comes to artstyle, since it sounds like you guys like that.

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

I'd say Archeage. It's F2P, but you have the option to sub. It's definitely a strength in numbers type of game since there is a lot of variety to how PvP works.

It would be helpful if you could tell us what made you stop playing Tera and Lineage 2 so we know what type of content your group could enjoy best in MMORPGs.

I think for a group of friends that have been bored out of Tera and Lineage 2, some Castle-sieging action as a purpose to their game-play should be just the right thing to keep everyone's interest in improving together.

I do not know how well ESO provides that, but Cyrodiil has looked like pretty pointless content to me. But I have never really gotten into that anyways, due to the skill-restrictions, so I might not be the best to ask about the RvR itself.

Your alternatives are Champions of Regnum, ArcheAge and GuildWars 2.

Champions of Regnum has a shrinking player-base, but as an already existing group you should get to a fun level in no time, and be able to enjoy yourselves greatly, sieging forts and invading others.

ArcheAge only provides fortresses as scheduled events, but it has fun PvP in between, and the rest of the content [questing & grinding; farming, crafting & commerce, as well as just housing] should be very much fun if you are in a large enough group to devote it all to a common purpose. In fact, if you set up a guild together that has a fun premise, please contact me. =P

GuildWars 2 is...GuildWars. If you can deal with the limited faculties in the "skill"-system and the lack of a trinity, this should be pretty fun, given all the quests and likely interesting sieging and territory control.
