    1. EvE (whatever mmo i play, i keep playing EvE alongside it)

    2. WoW (pre-Cata)

    3. WildStar (Future will tell, but imho in 6-12 months it will be top notch)

    -------

    4. DAoC

    5. Rift (lots of good times for a low budget game)

    6. GW1 (not a truly mmo but i had and still having lots of fun with my friends)

    -------

    7. GW2 (not what i was expecting as a GW1 fan, but always keeping an eye on it)

    8. ESO (i don't like it much in its current state, but like WildStar imo it may became something very special in 6-12 months)

All Time Favorites: EQ1, WoW, EvE, GW1
    Playing Now: WoW, ESO, GW2

    In no particular order:

    1. DAoC

    2. EVE Online

    3. EQ2

They are not terribly new games, but they were the ones I have had the most fun in. If you like sandboxes and don't want to play in space as a spaceship, I would recommend Ryzome. There is enough there I think to entertain you until AA launches.

Playing MUDs and MMOs since 1994.

Titles you can try, add in your AA, shameless plug?

    LotRO

    Tera

    Runescape

Go with 3 as, by the sounds of things, you will stop to play AA in a few days anyway.

    1. EverQuest (pre PoP)..
    2. World of Warcraft ( I quit pre-Cat)
    3. Star Wars Galaxies (pre NGE)
Everything else I have played falls clearly behind those 3..  I would pay a monthly sub to either games again if they would just clean up the damage they caused, and correct the known bugs that plagued them..

    1. Eq (pre GoD) - 50% pp*

    2. WoW (pre cataclysm) - 10%

    3. Loads of contenders 1-3% All doing well on some areas, but overall could not keep me interested.

*pp=perfection percentage ( totally subjective and my taste only )

I did to play (or not long enough to form an opinion) classics like uo, daoc, ac, eve.. But a good portion of mmorpg since 2005.

    1. Rift - It has everything I ever really wanted in a non-sandbox MMO. Tons of PvE content, fun-ish PvP, and tons of customizing.

    2. Guild Wars 2 - It was fun up to a point, but doesn't have much to do at end-game. Haven't played recently, though.

    3. EVE - What can I say? It's like my guilty pleasure, but I just can't get enough of Spreadsheets Online.
