Oh absolutely you can. If fact, it's encouraged. Make friends in game or in your guild and share a farm. As long as you have some equitable arrangement for sharing harvests, you should be able to enjoy the benefits of land ownership.
The real end result to all of the scarcity of land, lack of resources (because of lack of land), elite and outrageously powerful guilds that own everything is the Cash Shop...you can either buy to win or spend a year grinding to get to where the elite guilds were a year ago. So answer is simple....
Go FTP and spend 50.00 a month in the cash shop....you'll be leet...gotta love these games
You have no clue what you are talking about, but continue spreading false propaganda as so many trolls like you will do for the next few months till you get bored and move on to the next game.
The 50.00 was an exaggeration in jest. But, I clocked over 30 hours in the game during beta weekends and the one thing that prominently stuck out was the fact that many things you do take ALOT of time and have over-extensive processes (crafting) so much so that you are getting a rough shove to go to the cash shop....not a soft tap.
You know what I spent my cash shop credits on during headstart? 2 character slots and inventory expansion for my bag and warehouse. Do I expect to spend money on anything else? Maybe something that will give me something useful, like the rare orange donkey named Carrot. I have no intention of buying LP potions or Archeum chests other than to attempt to get Carrot if I even do that. I guess if people want to spend money on those things, that's good to hear cause that means AA will have plenty of funds for future expansions.
Thanks Whales!
But what happens down the line to those that cannot do the things they want to do in game....things the enticement is predicated off of, without spending cash on RMT's and cash shop? It will happen. Like I said, the game is pretty much made to form this pigeon hole.

Its in your best interests to have your own land if possible, then you and your friends can each grow components required to progress through the game. Its kind of redundant to have more than one person working the land, you cant "over" farm it to make it produce more.
2) Gain 10 LP every 5 minutes instead of 5 LP every 5 minutes while logged in
3) Gain 5 Loyalty tokens per day to be used on market place ( This includes a 4 hour cooldown LP potion )
So essentially, you can either pay the $15 a month that Patrons pay to do these things or you can play for free and still do the following...
1) Mine ore, chop down wild trees, gather wild plants and crops
2) Use public farms or plant hidden farms in the wild and pray for the best
3) Join a large guild and offer your LP in exchange for goods
4) Become a pirate and steal your goods
Land is important if you were a Founder because you basically paid in advance for a chance to own a plot of land and while the first day of headstart was theoretically a disaster with login issues and server stability. There was in fact large farm plots available in contested zones still available on day 3 and 4 of headstart. As I see it right now, a majority of people complaining realize that as a small guild, they basically won't have much impact on the game because there are in fact several, as in dozens of large zerg guilds on both continents of every server.
Trion however realized a lot of people were not happy, so they had pity on those few people and opened up an additional server for both EU and NA players to at least try to get land that was gobbled up on the other servers. Thats right folks, Trion saw what happened and tried to help as best they could. I'm not positive, but they may have even opened more servers today in preparation of F2P players. So, if I were you, I would get on one of those servers because more than likely, you can acquire some land since F2P players can not claim land.
I dont normally condone this kind of action
But could be cool if MMORPG.com's F2P players banded together to form a Large Pirate guild that attacked P2P AA players in the game and used their resources they collected to build a F2P empire...

Nope. not really how it works.
That is exactly how it works. You must not have researched or tested that feature. You can click F on your farm and tick a box to share with people you add to your family or guild etc. I plant on my wife's farm and she can plant on mine.
