Torment: Tides of Numenera: Pre-Alpha Game Play Video Released

inXile Entertainment has released a new video that shows off some pre-alpha game play footage from its upcoming RPG, Torment: Tides of Numenera, a 'spiritual successor' the wildly popular PlaneScape: Torment. Featuring dark tunes and a large amount of dialog, the game is decidedly old school and a welcomed sight for players who have long held PS:T as the best RPG of all time.

The video contains 3 minutes of pre-alpha footage from Torment: Tides of Numenera, which is currently wrapping up preproduction. A cross-section of Torment gameplay, this first-glimpse shows an example of the narrative and choice-based focus of the upcoming cRPG.

Mmmmmmmm, sweet, sweet RPGs. So glad we've got a couple good, solid "real" RPGs in the pipe.

This game is not based on Planescape:Torment - it is the spiritual successor to that game, made by the same people, but the world its based on is Monte Cooks world, Numenera, not Planescape.
