Ok ty. You want help fixing the problem, or did you want others to be aware of the problems you are having? Computer specs would be nice to have if you need help. Did you go to the official forums? BTW, if your drivers aren't up to speed it can cause troubles.

edit: Generally speaking, it would have to be a compatiblity problem with your hardware somewhere, be it drivers out of date, or even your GPU or CPU overheating. If it was a common problem, everyone would have the same thing going on.

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

sounds like a CPU overheat. Clean your fans and monitor the temperature.

Some people have reported Archeage corrupting their computer files so it is possible.

I have as well, my drivers shut down for my gpu, only with AA. I'm running a gtx 660 , i74790k, 8gbram. Latest driver for my gpu. The driver will crash on the que screen every 20 mins. ArcheAge is the only game in my library that this occurs. Not even the other glyph games cause this to happen. I think it has something to do with hackshield.

I don't think so unless it also happens it other games.

My guess would be Gameguard, if it finds anything it doesn't like (Deamon tools for example) it will crash everything without telling you anything.

It just sucks, had problems with it in TCoS, a buddy of mine had to get a clean windows installation on one of his bachup harddrives just for it since nothing else seemed to work. For me it was some tweaking.

Well, do your windows logs say anything? Should be some kind of red error and a code.

Nope,  it just happened again, I refreshed my event log and reviewed the past couple of days, nothing is showing up. I'm in no hurry, I can't play right now anyhow considering the long ques. Thanks for the suggestion though Loke.

I had this issue earlier this year in the game's Beta, found that I had to FLASH my BIOS, update my OS, and BAM!, the game works like a charm.  Can -and have- run it 14+hours straight without fail, including multiple alt-tabbing for use of TS3 and FireFox running in the background with a Pandora stream too (J-pop just feels right with ArcheAge).

Actually I've had the same problem back in the day.  System would hard lock and shut down only when I played city of heroes.  I tried everything, looked through logs drivers updates etc.  I should have just cleaned my system on the inside because the hard lock was getting caused by overheating.

First clue that it is related to heat is often the lack of log files to show any issues.  Truth is there likely is no software issues the system is likely just overheating.

does your gpu fan sound loud before the game shuts down?this was a big problem in alpha maybe its come back but like someone said more peeps would have this problem,it does sound like an overheating issue tbh.

Thank your lucky stars that's all Arxheages did to you. It could have been worse.

It took control of my pc, bitch slapped me with my keyboard, bound my hands with the mouse cord & made me repeat over & over again that I was Brad McQuaid's secret mistress.

I feel so dirty yet oddly relieved to get this off my chest. A burden has been lifted. Thank you OP.

Watching all the same cookie cutter responses here is quite humorous....

But one has to ask...why here? Why would this site better help you than the game site?

Had the same trouble with AA. The game crashed me to black screen.  I got around it by scaling down the resolution the game runs in.   On one of the opening pages I watched for the word "options" to appear. When I clicked options I was able to change the resolution down, way down.  First choice for me was 1080x? and that ran fine.   So I am working the resolution up now through the 1200x? series to go as high as I can without crashing to reboot.

I was not able to find the options button in game beta, so I reset my entire system to 1080x?  Game loaded and played fine and I was then able to see the right place to change only the game resolution was under the options tag.  Not really complex.  Use the control panel for this step and choose to reset your resolution from control panel.

To me this is a verry common problem (bnot that i have it)

Que screen has verry low gfx therefore your videocard hits just insave frame rates. the fan profile of Nviia cards suck bigtime.

Resuilting in an overheaded videocard that reaches over 80C while the fan is still at 30% resuilting in a driver crash.

Seen many games where this happened, moost software deveopers have done somthing about it.

I think Diable3 had somthing like that to i dont know, others can tell me.

I got no problems like that all my stuff has EK waterblocks and never get higher then 35c :P

I have monitored temps, ran all windows updates, flashed bios....

I will try direct x 9 - I played in beta and and had a few crash issues, but I also successfully played in beta for hours as well. So even though dx9 reccommend, I have seen dx11 working just fine.

Oddly enough - at this point I'm more interested in the cause of these crashes than playing the game, I feel like if I could ever get into the game, I would just want to play it, but be unable to due to the long ques anyhow.

edit update - since loading dx9, I have been in que longer than in the past, let's hope that's it - I know it's posted everywhere but i had luck without it in beta - inconsistent though

Well - new driver was available this morning for my card - I loaded that and added dx9 just as some of the folks here mentioned. I have been playing for 4 hours this morning already flawless.
