Tried to use Live chat support to see if I could determine why Trion fails to process any purchases on my account vis PayPal.

 

When I joined the Live Chat queue:

"You are currently number 515 in the queue. 

...

The average amount of time that a customer has to wait is 12:27"

 

Hmmm... that's pretty good service if there are 515 in the queue...

 

 

Half an hour later it was:

"You are currently number 462 in the queue. 

...

The average amount of time that a customer has to wait is 1:03:09"

 

This was at 6:00pm CEST. Most of the US is either fast asleep at this point or just woken up. It's going to get ugly in about 6-8 hours, lol

    There are so many different issues people are having with this game....best to just shelf this one for the time being and wait for things to be addressed.  The more people that rush to play, the harder it will be for them to fix this stuff.

    I just don't understand why people can't wait until all this mayhem gets sorted out.   Many games launch with issues , perhaps this one more than most.  I played briefly in beta but plan on waiting a month or so until the fever calms down to dip my toes in tot he game. I guess they need it now .

    What's even funnier is that once you actually get through to live chat, they won't be able to help you and direct you to the forums.

    Are you a Patron? Maybe they support Patrons a little more than they do F2P?

    If you don't understand the unique issues in Archeage, then all this yelling may sound ridiculous.

     

    AA has a limited amount of space in the game world where you can place houses and farms. Subscribers are called "Patrons", and only they can claim land. Only someone with Patron status can pay the weekly land tax on their claimed land. If you intend to be a serious crafter, you really do need to own land.

     

    Now imagine what happens when things go wrong. A whole bunch of "Patrons" lose their status in the game client, even though their account page still says it's active. Suddenly they face the real possibility of losing their land claims, because they cannot pay the weekly tax if they have F2P status. Once lost, it will take months to get ANY land on a busy server.

     

    So the frustration boils over, because Trion are unable to give any estimate on how long it will take to fix the issue. That usually means they have no idea HOW to fix it, even if they do have an idea of what caused it.

    Only Patrons have access to Live Chat Support.

    Aaaand here's the latest news from the Live Chat Support queue:

     

    Time: 8:30pm, Netherlands

     

    Two hours have gone by since the first bulletin. The situation now is:

     

    "You are currently number 279 in the queue. 

    ...

    The average amount of time that a customer has to wait is 02:07:14"

     

    I've moved a whole 236 places in 3 hours !

     

     

    At this rate, I might actually get to speak to someone before Live Chat closes in 6.5 hours' time...

    I've been unable to even load the official forum pages.  Maybe they should add a queue for reading those!

    Why would you shelf a game for different issues being experienced by different people?

    You know,  they should have not allowed anyone to buy land at launch and waited until the client problems settled down.  Even if it took a month or so.

    Why deal with the frustration?  Rather avoid it then go down that road.

    There's a lot of things they shouldn't have done.  But they did them anyways.   It seems like they don't really have any sense of direction as to what they are doing.

    Just goes to show you.

    Know matter how many years this has been out in Korea, no matter how many alpha's and free beta player tries this game has had in the years, they still didn't get it right.

    It's a shame will all expect this now as common mmo release issues, but really, should we really accept this as normal?

    Yeah we can say, it s F2P game and what did you expect, but really?

    If your going to be a hater on this game, now it gives you even more reason to and if your a fan, you will defend this game and give your personal reason why it's like this.

    Honestly though, it's 2014 folks, we should have the technology now, I thought we were past these days

    And how did it all end ?

     

    By the time a CS rep actually answered the chat, it was well past 11:00pm CEST. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to check regularly as it was taking so long, so I missed my chance, as the rep closed the session when I didn't respond.  At least they DID answer eventually.

     

    Around 5-6 hours in the Live Chat queue...
