Star Trek Online: Tier Six Ships Detailed

SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

The Star Trek Online site has been updated with a new blog post that shows off the shiny new Tier 6 ships that will be arriving with the Delta Rising expansion due out in October. Players can look forward to the Guardian Cruiser, the Dauntless Experimental Science Vessel, the Mat'ha Raptor, and the Aelahl Warbird Battlecruiser. The blog provides specifications on each ship as well as some of its overall strengths and limitations.

With the conflicts between the Federation and Klingon Empires finally subsiding, the major factions of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants are refocusing their gaze outward once more. Accompanied by the revelation of a new path into the unexplored reaches of the Delta Quadrant, this newfound ceasefire has allowed an unprecedented reallocation of assets, labor and innovation, for the creation and manufacturing of fleets of starships suited for deep space exploration in potentially hazardous sectors.

Intel Hybrid Bridge Officer Seats

These new Tier 6 starships are more traditional than the previously announced Intel ships.

That said, all three of these ships feature a single Hybrid Intel Bridge Officer Seat.

Check out the shiny screens and information on the Star Trek Online site.

Yeah!  More ships for the C-Store!  Cant wait to buy keys for the new lockboxes and have a 1% chance of getting one.

So it works exactly like in Neverwinter. Good to know that all their games work the same way.

I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high
And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll
Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde
And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore

Yup PW ruined this game. Its not even fun to play anymore. Its all about grinding for things for months or buying it in the c store.

I haven't played a single MO which does not have grind to get stuff. I don't even see how this is a negative? standard MMO design.

I still like this game & think it is one of the better games.  I have yet to jump upon the Delta Rising bandwagon though & I have not purchased the Operations Pack yet & I may not.  Delta Rising has lots of potential, good & bad, for the STO player base so I am optimistic given more details being released.  The Operations Pack does not seem to me a good enough value for it's price & what it is offering so far.  Cryptic needs to clarify a few statements regarding the perks of the Operations Pack.  I also disagree with the marketing tactic to sell something without all the details yet, but some have already purchased it so more power to them.  Delta Rising might end up being the moment where STO becomes more of a pay to win cash grab, but who knows.  It is a good game as a free to play & paying model, but that all could shift given which direction it proceeds.  All I can do is voice my opinion & exercise my agree/disagree with my wallet.
