30 days of Patron left but deleted game

JastlJastl Member Posts: 1
I really wanted to like the game but same as the posts below - long queues, boring quests, desktop crashes, DDoS attacks (which of course isn't really their fault), implementation of poorly thought out functionality (e.g. Suspected User, etc), and many more reasons of course just made me give up.  The graphics are fine, not much lag for me overall, but not worth the aggravation right now.  Even though I have the 30 days of patron status left (since the company restarted the clock), I decided to delete the game and not play.  The game has some potential so I figure I'll try back in 2-3 years unless I've found something I'm in to at the time.

Waaaaaaait! Before you delete the game, feel free to send any logs or stone ore you have to me :)

And thanks for reducing the queue by 1. It's a small change but we've got to start somewhere right?

You could've just as easily played something else for a week or so and then checked back.

I'm currently biding my time as well. (Though I haven't paid anything for it yet)

I uninstalled it at level 10. There were a few weird things in the game that I didn't like, it actually kind of reminded me of Guild Wars 2.

But in the end if I'm going to play a F2P game, and put hours of my time into it, it has to have the same business model as PoE which many games don't have, if any.

I also don't really like Trion, Defiance was a huge failure, but I guess you can't really blame them completely for that.

Looks like WoW still wins my time and $, 4 years later.

Good for you OP. You shouldn't have even gotten involved with this game in the 1st place but what's done it's done.

If AA reminded you of GW2, there's one of the two games you didn't play at all. Because they have very little in common, and definitely not the newbie experience.

This was a head scratch for me also.  GW2?  I love GW2 and this most surely is not GW2 like.

i too have stopped playing AA...played it for roughly 2 days with patron status and quit at lvl 10...it just  felt too....well boring, and the lack of diction in crafting along side with a brain overload of things that i just coudnt grasp on actually gave me a headach and caused me to be light headed...now i did not uninstall the game though as i MIGHT n that i a BIG MIGHT play it again....instead i have been playing my Wii U...

Now that being said i also had a sub to WoW for 1 month too...i played it for a few days and got bored fast...i played wow for 6 years straight back in the good old days and thought i would come back to it to see if the change that happend was good...needless to say it wasnt....the 2 biggest game breaking things for me were dungeon finder and herilooms....

ALL IN ALL in the end Archeage is just like Darkfall...it will only have  a dedicated fan base and thouse will be its only players as it slowly drifts off and gets replaced with other hyped games....

These are probably people who had fake Patron status while they were working out the fix. I'll take your plot-o-land now, bye bye.

I'm going to guess it's an artstyle thing?

When it comes to gameplay I would actually call AA closer to WoW than to GW2, since it has a very classic MMO interface and controls.

I got a house and a small crow set down in Solzreid during the first day of pre launch. I had to leave the area for two day's, and when I was finally able to get back in I saw there would be no way I could get ahead.

I gave my house and farm plot to another guildie and haven't looked back.

Yes I was foolish to fork over 150 bucks for a founders pack, but at the time I liked the game and the way the crafting was set up. Then XL Games/Trion changed everything in crafting and farming for the worst. The changes at pre launch didn't help and in some ways made the game even worse.

There is NOTHING in the cash shop that's not way overpriced.

A lot of people have forgotten when the servers are merged who get's the housing plot/farm plot will depend on a 1D8 roll.

I haven't deleted YET.... I'll just keep checking back to see if XL Games fixes the bugs their programmers put in with the way the housing area's are stupidly laid out. There is a lot of wasted space, since nothing is snap to grid. There are area's that suddenly allow a house and some farm's to get set down - where they weren't allowed before. That speaks of Dev's screwing the pooch

I never understand people like you who rejoice when people leave for whatever reason.

And when servers are empty people like you complain why more players are not playing the game. I seriously toss replies like yours into 'troll' bin.

Thinking about walking away as well... Hit lvl 43 today got my clipper and reality just hit what a boring endless GRIND this game is.  This game was wayyyy overhyped , the deep sandbox everyone raved about is nothing more than a glorified farmville with boats....Dont even get me started on the toxic commununity .. But back to the game. Trade pack quests zzzzzzzz. Lets put some shit on our backs and move at a snails pace while praying we dont get ganked... That open ocean is nothing more than  a boring mass of water with seas bugs, Want to be a fisherman, Forget it youll either need a endless supply of gold or endless supply of time to lvl farming to 15 k so you can grow worms.

Ugh i cant believe how much time i wasted these past 14 days or how ever long iv been playing this korean grinder thinking the game was going to get amazing at lvl 30+ only to find thATS when it really started to begin sucking .

Is that a player named place Tortage? I was wondering if you had mistakenly been playing Age of Conan lol
