Achaea = Quite populated, great RP community, very in-depth classes and skills, crafting, faction politics, ocean sailing (with pirates and ship combat), super friendly guilds.. I recommend joining the Sentinels guild/house if you make a char :)

I actually played Runescape for a bit. enjoyed it and found the community decent. Was thinking of going back, but isnt Eldevin better than Runescape in every way? I have not played Eldevin, just going by what I heard.

Oh wow this takes me back to me BBS days of typing everything out. Got to ask though, does it keep you going or does it getting boring after a while?

Looks good, though the 50 bucks to try it sucks.

I personally think yes Eldevin is better than Runescape in most ways. Runescape has it beat in a few ways simply because its been around forever and just has that much more cash to throw around, like for instance the "player poll" for quests thing they have.

But just strictly speaking on gameplay and not the random feature in each game here or there, Eldevin is the clear superior. And also does not paywall f2p players which is a godsend that Runescape really should learn to adopt. I view Runescape with as much contempt as i do Adventure Quest/Worlds.

There is also http://oldschool.runescape.com/ which they launched last year, based on backup from 2007. Fresh start for all.

it depends what you want from it, i really like therian saga, which is browser sandbox (m)morpg

if you like themepark questing, you can try e.g. drakensang online

Yes and no. You play it in the browser yes, but its not what a modern browser based game is. Its a MUD.
