Founder compensation for headstart blunder

KarbleKarble Member UncommonPosts: 750

I started ArcheAge and got up to speed quickly in Headstart between all the issues. Then the servers got so packed I couldn't log in to play at all.

This was supposed to be a clean 4 days of adventuring and staking out places and generally getting a head start.

I spent a large chunk of my credits to expand my bank and bag slots on that guy. Then no way to play since the line was so long.

I created a new character on a new server that launched well after the headstart was over with my friends so we could actually play the game.

What I lost in this was my ability to actually make any use of the head start or my credits.

I imagine many others did the same thing.

Has there been any talk from Trion of some sort of compensation for such a horrible headstart?

I am thinking if there has not been then we should start a dialogue now about it and maybe get some attention.

Mind you I am not looking for cash back....just filled credits to the original amount promised and maybe a week or so extra patron would do the trick.

Your thoughts?

I've seen people post about an extra 30 days of patron status for founders. I have not verified this myself so fair warning. But if it's true, that's pretty generous for what most everyone agrees was a terrible launch.

Looks like you are right. My patron status now says until November instead of October. That is indeed a full month extra which is generous.

It's also smart since that extra month will allow a good many to have gotten deeper into the systems of the game and feel more invested to continue with monthly subscription.

This is indeed a sign that they respect the player base a bit and own up to mistakes.

Mark me down as a fully happy customer :)
