Is the templer the best healer or can u do just as well with the healing staff on one of the other classes?

    Templars have an entire tree dedicated to healing. IF you want to be a healer, they are a pretty good bet. Having said that, that doesn't necessarily make them the best healer. They have more options but they can't really use all the templar healing skills and the restoration staff healing skills so it's not like they end up healing for more. They are just the most versatile class in terms of healing.

    Some classes lend themselves well to certain roles. But ultimately you can play any role as any class. Other classes bring something to the healer's role as well, e.g. extra regen, protective shields, hots etc.

    I played a Breton sorcerer resto/destruct staff build healer and though that was great.

    Templars are the best healers, that's not to say others can't heal, but if talking raids, Templars heal. They can fill other roles if there are Templars spare mind you.
