iPhone 6 confusion

I am really troubled trying to get an understanding on why there is more hype and dollars being spent for iPhone 6 than for Note 4.
iPhone 6 is pretty much what Samsung was doing at least a year ago if not more.
Note 4 for has....
OLED screen which means better colors and less battery use
higher resolution
faster processor
more ram
IR sensor
Longer battery life
faster batter charging
More wearable accessories
More market tested wearable accessories.

I have an iphone6+ and am happy with it
for context, my first smartphone was the HTC One M7
I'm much happier with the iphone but everyone has different tastes
