This weekend saw the first meeting of Murphy’s Lawbreakers, the official MMORPG Illuminati cabal. We had a fantastic turnout that had all of Kingsmouth talking. The first twenty minutes of the meetup were spent getting to know each other and inviting people to the cabal. By the end there were 17 of us, which had a few consequences that hadn’t been considered when the whole idea was thought up.

In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
But it's sooo true!!!
Sounds like it was a disorganized clusterfuck, to be honest. You didn't have the foresight to set up groups before turning 17 separate players loose on quest content?
I'll pass.
Why all the negativity. So what they didnt plan every detail out it's a game. Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth pushing out tension. See now we all feel better.
@Kost. It was the first time we did meet up. Sure lots of us (if not all) have played the game before, so we could have known getting quest kills all solo would be a bit hard. But thats not the point. The idea is nice from Shannon. Lets try it again and see what happens.
And it was fun. We did wait a bit long at the campfire, but the first time someone allways will be late
Next saturday OldFitz will be there also again
"This is not a game to be tossed aside lightly.
It should be thrown with great force"
Yay, I'm on the picture
Shannon, "the fact that I bought an AP injection of 110 AP", khm... I too could've brought my low Loomie (with maybe a 150ish APs total), but since the whole point was starting fresh I made a new one instead... jumping ahead is not a nice move, I think that will cost you a minus point from the overall grade. (ok, just kidding. somewhat. I never use advancement boosters in my games if I can manage to avoid them)
"It seemed like once the cabal got to the Sheriff’s office they all scattered." I don't think it's a problem, that's pretty much the questing system working as intended. Small groups / single folks went onto different missions and after different stories. You went to Norma, some went to the church, etc. I, for example helped Bannerman and Andy, then Mme. Roget, and checked the mining museum basement, I like that mission with the lamps and lasers.
On the way I sometimes bumped into other lawbreakers, but since those were good pugs, I think there was no chance for breaking Murphy's Law about bad pugs
No it isn't.
Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!
Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!
Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!
i would like to see them implement a reecrafted combat system it would bring this game alive like never before
I had fun once, it was terrible.
"Ill pass" because it wasn't perfect, because what your perfect? And you only participate in perfection? I'm not sure if you realize how your post makes you sound.
Promise? If you promise that I will be there next time fosho...
...and people say we gamers are ungrateful brats...nonsense I say...
On Saturday head to Kingsmouth and either yell out that you're looking for Murphy's Lawbreakers or send a PM to Cyin. I'll make sure you get in then.
Just logged in last night and had fun bopping around collecting some gear and fleshing out my SP/AP some more. Load times seemed much better now than in the past.

What server is this on? Are there even servers? I have just been picking my character and logging in for so long I don't really remember if servers are a thing.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
It's on Arcadia.
TSW has the single server tech, so if you don't pvp, server selection is mostly just a convenience thing. Even if you're not on Arcadia you still can join the fun. The only drawback is that you need to team up with someone after the loading screen to "pull you over" the other shard.
edit: easier this way: http://www.thesecretworld.com/news/blog_single_server_technology_in_the_secret_world
one chat, one market (trade), one guild/friend list, multiple shards with the option to jump between them.
Gotcher. I have one character, a Templar, so I'd probably start a new Illuminati character for something like this.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
-K.
On saturday pm Cyin ingame and she'll get you in.
I promise you don't have to worry about me tagging along - I prefer to play with competent individuals.
Do you even realize what site you're on? You seriously want to throw in with this lot? That is extremely comical.
When you organize a group activity, yet you are unable to make simple decisions regarding proper planning and preparation prior to the start of the aforementioned activity, that speaks volumes about the experience you can expect to have while chumming around with those individuals. It doesn't inspire confidence, in fact it does exactly the opposite.
However, if wasting copious amounts of time accomplishing minor tasks is your thing, all the power to you. I'm sure you'll be very successful.
