Trion is giving 24 hours ban to trade pack teleport hackers after they made thousands of gold and got the best items thanks to hacking.

The people defending this nonsense are clearly not seeing the big picture and only looking at the act itself.  24 hours bans won't fix the economy or gear acquisition that these people are messing with.

Unfortunately this sort of cheating happens in every single Korean MMO I've played.  You can't prevent it.  You can deal with it as strongly as possible when it happens.  Trion is failing at this aspect.  You cannot give these players a second chance.  They fully knew what they were doing and deserve permanent bans.  Setting a precedent early on is important.

    Is that too many? {insert sarcasm here}

All the bans got re-implemented today and are irrevocable.

Those hackers accounts are gone permanently - and all their gains are wiped.

I was in game when the GMs broadcast the info.

So how does a permanent ban get re-implemented today if the ban was permanent to begin with?

The bannening or re-bannening needed to have happened sooner with more decisiveness and a server rollback.

Now I'd probably have to be a UAE oil baron to get a scepter off the auction house.

The main morale killer is that trion has to beg xlgames for fixes and changes and XLgames was too lazy for proper localization in the first place.

    Still binned for me, sorry.

That's the problem -  they were issuing temporary bans to hackers - which was wrong.

They went and changed those temp bans to permanent bans.

They were *supposed* to be permanent bans - but due to some error (software or staff training or who knows) - they were issuing temp bans.

I think temp bans are issued for lesser offenders - but hackers were supposed to get permanent bans - and now they have.

So employees don't even know what the policy (if there was one) is, worse game launch and support than I thought.

The servers are starving for players.

The population has dropped and most I had a word with are bored. The causal gamers did try the quest line way of levelling but after 40ish you are forced to craft or spend much virtual currency to continue through mana / health (FOOD/POTS)  regeneration manipulation part of the game.

It is kind of sad to see a game plummet with population even before the updates come in.

On the bright side, less population = more land for houses/farms for the remaining players... or would if houses/farms were 1 per account and the botters/hackers weren't there I suppose.

Population dying? Sure hasn't effected the queue times I have had and I am a Patron. And frankly, if the pop does go down a bit, it will only make the game more enjoyable and therefore better.

I never had a queue time as a FROOB. I played in one of the new servers. I did get to the point to buy 2 APEX, However most of  my friends from my part of the world have quit. I do see barren quest spots post level 40ish. However , servers are different and handled differently.

I just checked the server screen after reading this and every single server is either "High" or "Queue".

I logged in for 10 minutes on my old toon on a Day 1 server and immediately got a whisper from someone trying to buy my unfinished house.

Yeap, it's a ghost town Mr. Drama.

    Just ignore them.

For some reason there are folks who just like to create threads to rip on Archeage... I suspect those are prolly the same folks who wants to solo Archeage and not getting anywhere... Archeage is a guild game, NOT a solo game.

Back on point, the server is way overpopulated still in fact. The jury queue is a good indication of this (You can only be eligible for Jury duty if you complete the Jury quest line which is available after lvl 30, and you have to be online to queue. there are always close to 2k people in the queue during peak and even at off peak, at least 1k, and that's NOT counting in players who aren't allow to queue for whatever reason such as crime, prison, haven't done the quest chain, etc. So there are still WAAAAYYY too many players per server).
