WoW vs. ARR

Hey guys, I am wondering which game I should play, but I'm not all too familiar with A Realm Reborn. I have played WoW since BC and definitely love it, but I'm looking to see if ARR would be a good option, or if WoW truly is my soulmate.

 

Things important to me:

* Seasonal Events

* Populated (Don't want to feel like I'm the only person around)

* Cool, meaningful crafting

* Raids are cool

* Questing is fun

* Community is kind

 

I am going to either buy ARR or stick with WoW through the holidays. Thanks for your help guys!

    ARR has a free trial - go ahead and try it out.

    Your last 4 criteria are somewhat subjective, but for the last point, I can say that on my server the community is much more open and easy going than in WoW.

    ARR does have seasonal events and is decently populated (depending on server). The rest are more or less up to your preferences.

    ARR does play a lot like WoW, but a bit slower paced for combat (GCD is longer). The first several levels are very slow (very limited ability selection), but the pace does pick up, noticeably after around L40.

    if it is final fantacy a real reborn I would say go for wow,ffxiv was so grindy.

    FFXIV fits all of your criteria. You should definitely give it a shot.

    10 year old game or rehashed game that had to clone 10 year old game to be playable ... neither.

    I love WoW never will give up on it, it's my first MMO that got me hooked. But every patch that FFXIV puts out has makes me think best patch ever, and they all keep getting better. I really think FFXIV will make a slow climb to king of the genre, it's proven worthy of the sub price and always seems to put out a better patch than the last. All that said I'd play FFXIV for right now till see what WoW's next expansion plays out.

    When I look at your criteria, I can't think any other game than ARR.
