City-State Entertainment has announced that more Camelot Unchained players have been added to participate in today's pre-alpha testing events that will include a look at battleground PvP. Players entering today's event will notice a new build is in place since Wednesday's play.
7PM Eastern Time/4PM Pacific Time/11PM UTC.
10PM Eastern Time/7PM Pacific Time/2AM UTC+1.We’re upping the battleground capacity to 200 people so please let us know on the forums if you experience any rubberbanding as we approach the battleground limit.
This Pre-Alpha version is essentially the same as the one we tested on Wednesday. As our Internal Testers know, we have already made some changes to the current build that we will migrate to Pre-Alpha once they are IT tested and CSE approved.
For those who can join us today, I hope you have fun and please let us know what you think about it on our forums.
As per above, we invite all of our Alpha and IT folks to join in the fun for any (or all) of the scheduled tests. Our new “time zone preference” selection will NOT affect all access tests such as these today and Sunday.

its pre-alpha, go back the game to test it or just wait.
It isnt good atm so no worries.
I isn't made atm.
This is an engine, systems and net code test using a small map with first run racial models (based off of their first high poly concept model) strictly there to emulate final player toons to measure impact on performance. As the engine is largely custom the first pre-alpha tests are based from the engine up. Even their hiring has been based on this with engineers and designers being first followed later by more artists, environmental designers and community staff.
What could be called an mmo game has not even been built yet and therefore game testing hasn't begun yet. What is presented in 3-6 months from now will look light years better than what is shown from these initial tests.
Honestly I am impressed with what is shown (both graphics and systems) compared to their very first engine tests only a relatively few months ago.
You stay sassy!
Haha heys Paigey, I remember you from the Project Gorgon games and threads. Yeah this is the semi spiritual successor to DAOC made by the people who made DAOC. Its the only Kickstarter game I've backed that had successfully been funded lol. And I must say damn am I glad.
Hi! Yeah haha, I got kinda, bored. That's neat, well it's on my radar now at least. :P
It's the missing link.
Yeah seems a bit odd. It really seems as weird as a happy couple asking you to come over and view slides of their child's conception.
Just go to http://camelotunchained.com/v2/media/screenshots/ Nothing more that can be shown right now.

cooperation.
I suppose that's what happens when "beta" these days, typically means a free preview.
Impressed with the way everything is heading with this project. Glad to have backed
must resist urge to "level up" my backing to get the pre-alpha!!
and me home with bronchitis with nothing to do for the next three or so days....
RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

well-- at least it's not Ebola
They arn't in alpha.....
Alpha is for testing game systems and mechanics.... Like building, crafting, inventory, keep capturing, Combat, classes, races, and all of the other mechanics that will make up the final game.
In CU none of those exist yet, so they can't be tested.... Right now they are woking on server-stablity, netcode, and implementing base-systems.
So they are testing before alpha.......
Or PRE-Alpha......
So you just make that up?
I still think Mark Jacobs is a one hit wonder, but only time will tell.
